The shed turned out great. I changed the wall height to 6' and went with thicker plywood on the floor; I recommend you do as well.

3.0 out of 5 stars SOLID PRODUCT, HORRIBLE PLANS
By Charlene Agnew on October 12, 2017
Do not for any reason use their plans for the floor and foundation IF you are NOT placing this on flat concrete. You NEED to do something heavier if you plan on using blocks. Their design for the floor is trash, you might as well throw those steps completely out. SHOWN BELOW, is the before and after pics. I used the 2x4 design originally but it didn't work. I switched to a 2x8 design with joist hangers. USE JOIST HANGERS, YOU'LL NEED IT.

5.0 out of 5 stars Turned out nice 11'x14' barn style
By Gary E. McKiney on March 23, 2013
I started this shed one year ago, I bought 2 kits, the brackets seem really flimsy until you start putting it together, then things start to tighten up, the reason why it took so long was that I was using 90% recycled material from work, the 2x4 material took the longest to collect, every other one was warped, I followed the instructions for the most part, I put in blocking half way up the walls for added support, I also wanted more headroom inside so I cut wood gussets to attached to the trusses, I made the trusses first because I wanted them to all be exactly the same and when placing the two by four walls level them and brace them and leave the braces on until you have all walls sided, getting the trusses up on the 2x4 walls was a challenge by myself but I figured it out, over all the shed came out perfect. I posted many pictures.

Update, DO NOT build the floor the way it says on the ground, use pressure treated and elevate it with piers or blocks, my sub floor rotted after three years, it has to be vented!!!!!!

Update: so after learning what not to use on the subfloor, I jacked up the shed, removed the rotted floor, installed pressure treated 4x6 perimeter with 4x4 pressure treated, 16" on center, screwed and glued down 3/4 " plywood, and sealed the plywood with primer sealer. I used blocks to elevate it 2" off the ground.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice plans but a little flawed
By Jean Minnaar on December 30, 2017
Simple plans once you realize schematics apply to one or the other floor plan.

I built the 8X7 model (with lower walls so as to stay within the HOA's height restrictions). The reason for not giving it a 5 out of 5 rating is that:
1) The plans call for a floor that is 8' long and also a roof that is 8' long. Wow! No overhang? No tolerance for walls that may not be perfectly upright?
2) The hardware that keeps the studs upright are not strong enough. You may need a second person to hold things up for you or you may have to add small angle brackets on the inside as you go.

I reduced the floor by 6 inches in length.

I used almost 5 pounds of 2 1/4 screws. I also pre-drill the holes so that I do not have to deal with 2X4s splitting.

Suggestions for other buyers:
1) Use the excessive roof cutoffs for racks.
2) Put a sheet metal angle piece on the exit to save the floor.
3) If the shed will be put on a concrete slab, put wheels on the floor frame (at the time you build that). That way you can push the shed around as you wish. I thought about the wheels too late and ended up put ting2 inch PVC pipes under the shed to move it back and forth to be able to get to the back that was up against a wall.
4) Whatever other plywood cutoffs you have, put them down on the floor. That way you do not waste them (you will have a use for them later on), they help protect the floor and they do not take up any valuable space..

4.0 out of 5 stars The brackets seem pretty sturdy and like they will last
By LV on February 24, 2016
This kit comes with all of the bracket hardware and plans to build your own backyard storage shed. The brackets seem pretty sturdy and like they will last. They don't bend at all with basic movement.
A few of the other reviews mentioned missing parts. My husband thought that at first as well but quickly realized that the parts are there. One box comes with enough pieces for a 7'x8'. If you want to build an 8'x14' or 10'x22' you'll need two or three kits total, respectively.
Overall it looks pretty simple. The directions are easy to read and lists every piece of wood and cut necessary for completion. He'll be building ours this weekend. Will update if anything pertinent occurs during construction.

5.0 out of 5 stars I used this kit to make a greenhouse!
Reviewed in Canada on July 24, 2020
I really liked this kit. The metal pieces arrived in a box with full instructions and nice illustrations. I followed all the steps for the 8X7 size and it went together easily with no fuss at all. All straight edge cuts of 2X4s and simple to do. I used a skill saw, tape measure. variable drill and a level. To comply with local regulations and to have strength against wind, I used two foot pieces of rebar pounded into the ground at an angle through the base. (If you don't know where underground wiring/plumbing is call before you pound.) I changed the cross bars in the floor to have garden spaces on the ground underneath for spring and fall planting,. Because I was not putting plywood on the outside (which adds it's own strength and structural support) I put in extra cross pieces, extra screws at multiple places (especially the attachment to the base), and I built in sturdy shelves to suit my needs. I then used Tuftex panels instead of plywood for the exterior. The result was my wonderful greenhouse that was already proven sturdy enough to take several prairie severe thunderstorms. I can highly recommend this kit as even with my modifications it was easy as pie with my very basic carpentry skills. Check local regulations before you order. Plan the base carefully according to your local conditions and needs so it won't blow over. Make sure the base it is absolutely square and secure. The rest follows easy.

I have never built anything like this before and it really helped me. However, if you are happy to cut angles and figure it out then you don’t have to purchase this. If you do purchase this they are really sharp. I got quite a bad cut on my thumb getting them out of the box. Wore gloves every time I handled them after that. Arrived well ahead of planned date.
