This is the soundtrack to the movie 3:10 to Yuma, and it is a beautifully done sountrack and I love it very much. You can hear the entire movie and your favorite parts throughout the playing of this CD, I truly loved the end of the movie and it's music there and it gives you such a feeling of what an amazing job the farmer did in raising his son that you want to weep every time you think of what that young man has to do now after the movie leaves you, and he must take his father's body home to a wife who will be devastated and run the farm and work so very hard, and how much this entire farm will forever be in lasting memory of the Farmer... and in what he did to try and save and in the end how getting to know someone can change how you really feel about them and what they have done with their lives if you know their circumstances. The music score to this movie was well suited to it. I love it.

Marco Beltrami has been toiling in the soundtrack fields for well over a decade, usually writing music in the heavy brooding mode of the Scream series (with more than a tip of the axe to Howard Shore's Silence of the Lambs). So his score for 3:10 to Yuma comes as a amazing surprise: it's taut as a guitar string, spare as a lone rider in the desert, and as potent as a shotgun blast to the head, when it needs to be. It recalls the spaghetti western music of Morricone without copying it---call it a post-Leone western score. In the movie or on your stereo it's a straight-up, riveting listen. And the orchestration is so unique the filmmakers even put a mini-doc in the 3:10 to Yuma (Widescreen Edition) DVD special features.

Perfect condition. It was still in the plastic and there wasn't a dent in the package or a scrath on the cd.

This is a spectacular western movie! I owns hundreds of these films and have even worked on a few myself. The soundtrack is lovely and even haunting! The film work and everything about the movie is awesome. From a very emotional and powerful story to remarkable feeling, costuming, wrangling, great photography, and not a lot of special effects, this is about as great as movie making as has ever been done!
I have lived at a ranch and seen days of desperation, been a soldier, and dealt with bandits, but this work will stand the test of time. The special features section is wonderful and appropriate! The Charley Prince character played by Ben Foster is EPIC! There is no part of this movie that falters. The soundtrack alone is a must to own!

Rightly nominated for an Oscar (it should have won), Marco Beltrami's western score is both period and contemporary - he uses guitar heavily, but avoids pastiche by judicious use of electronics to augment his orchestral score and by employing his own minimalist aesthetic. Heavily percussive and with simple haunting harmonies, it is like a dream marriage of Philip Glass and Ennio Morricone (one of the young Beltrami's mentors) and again underlines Beltrami's position at the forefront of contemporary film composers.
