Bought this splitter in hopes that i could run the HD signal to a another TV in kitchen due to cable box only having one set of component cable outputs. I also bought a 25ft component cable to run from this splitter to the other TV. So far works great. I've read other peoples comments about signal loss but if there is any its minor. And for the cost I can't complain. Def worth it.

I got this product to split a video signal between my LCD/LED back-lit computer monitor (20 in.) and my LCD HDTV (32 in.) It worked perfectly for what I had in mind, and I only noticed a minimal decrease in screen brightness.
Product was all that it was said to be, shipped right on time and got here in perfect condition.

Thanks again Amazon for the great items you sell and your speedy deliveries. I'm another happy customer once again :)

Video quality appears to be much worse When this adapter is in use. There are visible streaks on my CRT, but it looks like my LCD handles the signal slightly better. I’ll be looking for better alternatives and wouldn’t recommend this product.

I liked the product, but same as with the coupler......seems like there was some signal loss. Maybe it was just the way I was trying to use it that caused the problem. Did do the job though.

First off, I'll say I got ahead of myself and ordered this before truly questioning the "splitter" look. When it came I really thought the splitter I needed was 1 female, 2 males (what "splitting" infers). Even upon reading reviews that said it A) worked as I wanted it to and B) worked as a way to give a TV, or the like, more inputs, I was still skeptical. But, I hooked it all up (xbox component cable to one of the female connections. The male connection to my recording device. Finally, a male-to-male component cable (sold separately) plugged in to the other female connection and my TV. The Monoprice does not distinguish that the female connections differ in any way. So, I just assume it is by some sort of magic powers that this hookup worked perfectly!

Only downside, there is some quality lost for recording devices (though that's POSSIBLY the software I'm using, but it's only when things are moving *too* quickly on-screen) but NOT the TV (which is why I think it's my software/input and NOT the splitter).

Be forewarned, if you're doing this for video game recording, as I did, you'll need an additional male-to-male component cable in order to use it correctly. I imagine other hookups would be the same, but I have not actually done those.

Although this unit functions, it doesn't work as you might think. First if you connect any cable to either output you need to be sure the other end of said cable is terminated. I ended up with a double image issue because I wasn't ready to connect the other end of one of the outputs. Once I connected the other end, the double image issue was resolved. Second, because this is essentially a splitter and not an amplifier, you have loss on the signal which appears in the form of a darkened picture on both outputs. I've ordered a component video amplifier/splitter to deal with the loss and will not use this splitter once I install the amp. Lastly, it took an extremely long time to get this from the seller.

I purchased this splitter because while I have a TV in my bedroom to watch, I also have a treadmill that I use daily. When watching the large TV, I had to turn my head pretty far to the left to see it and that's not very efficient when jogging or walking on the treadmill.

I purchased a small, 19 inch LCD TV that I mounted just above the treadmill so I can look straight at eye level while exercising. My cable box only had one Component Out port so I needed to split the signal somehow. I could not use HDMI because I have an Apple TV hooked to the sole HDMI port on the small TV. This was spot on. I have not noticed any degradation in signal quality but then I never have both TVs on at the same time. It's perfect for what I needed it for.

For a passive splitter this works fairly well. Minor loss in brightness of video but not a deal breaker. LED TV showed no loss and LCD displayed showed only minor degredation. I would recommend this splitter for a quick inexpensive way to share a component video signal to 2 devices.

Might need to play with settings but worth it.

All in all im happy with the purchase. Good product.
