Yes, you can get it cheaper through a local box store or local hardware or feed store but if you don't want to make the trip, this is good quality wire delivered to your door. Nice heavy duty and despite routinely bending at a 90degree angle, the welds all held.

This is perfect for chicken coops and rabbit hutches. The gauge of the wire allows this to be used for long stretches of open area that need to be covered by something stronger than your average chicken wire with little cross beam support needed. We used this on our rabbit hutch front door and on our rabbit tractor bottom (these are two separate rabbit homes; the hutch doesn't move... the tractor moves across the yard). In the door application of the hutch it was easy to attach and due to the sturdiness doesn't require any crossing support beams. In the tractor application we used this to prevent the rabbits from digging out. It sits flat to the ground as we move the tractor around. The spacing is big enough that the rabbits feet do not get stuck and their poop goes through easily (a problem with smaller opening 1/4 inch "hardware cloth" where the poop gets stuck). Again it's sturdiness is enough to prevent predators and discourages digging.

I used this for the top and sides of a rabbit cage. Unfortunately, the mesh wasn't exactly 1 inch square. Every 3 feet was a half inch short but was 1 inch width wise, so my cage walls didn't line up very nice.

I used this to make a couple coon gaurds for a couple feeders. This works really well. Small enough to not let them reach through and spin the plate, and big enough to let the corn fly through. Strong enough to let them hang from the bottom without any problems. Worked great for 6 months so far no issues.

I am building quail breeding cages with a slant floor. These wire cages are self supporting with out any wood, just the mesh wire bent and connected on the edges for strength. The wire was perfect for what I needed. It is 16 Gage and when formed with right angle bends, it works perfect. Would buy again if needed.

I lost several expensive saplings I had ordered online to hungry (vengeful?) rabbits who seemed intent on nibbling my newly-planted tree saplings/shrubs right down to the ground, or snapping their thin trunks off at ground level and leaving them lay - just for the fun of it. This fencing works very well for this purpose - I just make a circular fence around each tree 'at risk'. In fact, if I use the entire height of this (and don't cut it down to the size needed to protect a perennial), I don't even have to stake it or even push it down into the dirt to prevent it from blowing away in the wind. I'm not sure if it's the weight that prevents it from blowing away or the wind blowing right through it, rather than against it (because of all the 'holes' in it), but just setting it in place seems to secure it enough. Not sure if this will work against deer when my saplings reach 2-feet, but for now I'm happy that I'm not having to buy and plant a sapling every year because of a rabbit. My yard looks a little funny with all my 'caged' trees...I was self conscious at first, but now not so much.

I am using thes for chicken fencing and it is of a good quality, I haven't found any broken welds yet and it is working fine for me. I find it hard to join them though and have been using plastic wire ties since the metal j-hooks are impossible to use on this. If anyone knows of something else to use I would appreciate a heads up.

Used this as the bottom in my raised chicken coop for the waste to fall through, instead of a solid floor that requires constant cleaning. Just rake droppings every once in a while making cleaning a snap. The 1 inch wire lets the waste fall through, any smaller weave and the droppings can't quite fall through so they pile up on the 1/2 inch weave. 1/2 weave is fine for young chicks, but get the 1 inch for adult birds.
