It's well written and easy to understand and the only reason its not a 5+ star book is a like more photos with my recipe and cook books.
All in all, a very good book!

What really put me off is that most of the recipes include packet or tinned products such as cream of mushroom or tomato soup, `skillet dinner mix', etc. If I want mushrooms, tomatoes or skillet* in my food, I want a recipe that includes the real ingredients, not a list of additives and probably too much fat and salt. These recipes remind me of the sort that Elizabeth David criticised pungently in her introduction to 'Italian Food' in 1963 - the sort that appeared in magazines of that period. Half a century later, we really have moved on.
(*Yes, I know that a `skillet' is American for a small frying pan - that's a joke!)
