It was just ok. The movie was better.

Things that annoyed me:
1. Laura was a brat. Her tantrums were out of control. You already decided you liked/wanted him, and would flip out all the time. Oh he's too controlling, oh I like when he's controlling its so alpha. Well which is it???

2. The fainting spells and repeatedly waking up with no memory because you got blackout drunk. Who gets blackout drunk from champagne and wine??? And how many times are you going to faint? Do people really faint that much? I don't know anyone who has EVER fainted...

3. Slapping him repeatedly (outside of bed). In bed it was hot, outside of it...Bratty and disrespectful. How you would like it if someone slapped you all the time?

4. Calling him "the man in black" every other page. Ok we get it, he was wearing black when you met him. Just say his name dammit!

5. The pacing was off. It would move so fast sometimes that it left you confused as to how you got there. It left gaps in the story because it jumped from one situation to another without a smooth transition. I hate that.

6. This book would've been better with a dual POV. It would've been nice to be in Massimo's head and know what he was thinking. Especially because Laura is kind of annoying.

Overall, it gave a bit more info to tie into the movie, but the movie was better and more likable. Definitely not something I'll ever re-read, but I will read the other books in the series if they translate it.

I Fell in Love with the Devil

I have been obsessed with this book since the movie came out. After watching the movie I looked into the book and discovered it hadn’t been properly translated but with the movie being such a huge hit that it would most likely have an official version in the future. After a month, when my obsession of the movie didn’t fade, I decided to purchase the whole loosely translated English version for about $10 so if I couldn’t make it work it wasn’t a big lose.

Well... I read all three books and LOVED them!!!! I loved them so much that when this officially translated version came out I had to get it too. I compared it to the version I previously had (which is as close to reading Blanka Lipinska’s Polish writing as can get in English) and it is indeed very close.

I don’t like spoilers. So if you liked the movie you’ll love the book! This book on its own is amazing; however, I enjoyed the second and third book even more! I’d love to give details... but you’ll have to find out for yourselves. From the beginning of the series to the end, this story is going to get turned upside down.

This is my favorite trilogy I’ve read, like I’ve said, I’m obsessed and can’t wait for the final two movies.

When I watched the movie I thought wow I wonder what the book is like and I was so sad to find out it hadn't been translated yet. Months later my husband randomly put the movie on(he's never seen it) I then wondered if I there was a English translation yet. I looked and bam the same exact day. Fate? This book put 50 shades to shame. Although there were a few strange things in the book because of the translation. I really couldn't put it down.

This book was worth the wait!!

For those who have seen the movie, this book provides more details to some of the best parts of the movie. I will say that the movie actually did the book justice. Often that is not the case.

The live story between Lauren and Massimo could be classified as an enemy to lovers tale. Reading Laura’s progression of feelings was eye opening to a character I already loved.

Now it’s time to wait for book two to see where this tale goes next!!

I have been wanting to read this book since I saw the movie last summer and I was not disappointed. Don Massimo Torricelli has been looking for Laura Biel for 5 years he first saw her when he was shot. Laura and her boyfriend Martin take a dream vacation to Sicily when he sees her at the airport he knows he must have her. This was a really good read. Massimo who is a mob boss kidnaps her after she gets into with Martin he also threatens her and her family he also shows her pictures of Martin having sex with a girl in a club. I liked Laura she wasn't the soft submissive women that he was use to she agrees to give him the 365 days that he asked for. Massimo is a hot sexy alpha male who is use to getting what he wants. The movie had some hot sexy scenes in it and the book was better too me. When these two begin having sex it was hot as hell. Laura is not use to men deciding things for her she rebels and gets in trouble like poll dancing in the club and the man losing his hand for touching her. I did think that Laura drank too much especially with a heart condition. I liked that Massimo could be tender with her. I also liked the secondary charcters like his brother who looks after Laura and her bestfriend Olga. This was a good read that I listened to and read. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series and I hope that the author doesn't make us wait to long for the English version of the next book.

Dreadful. I thought there couldn't be any book worse written than '50 Shades Of Grey', I was wrong! I don't know if the author is actually this poor or it's the translation but the writing is awful. Massimo has the making of a great character far better than any Christian Grey but not in this book. Sex scenes are mediocre and poorly constructed. The Netflix movie isn't great but 100 times better than the book. Disappointing.

How does this book have 4.5 stars! I am two pages in and already see a multitude of editing errors. I made the fatal of pre ordering so I didnt see the reviews. Having paid £6 for this book I am so unimpressed. There are so much better romance/erotica books out there that the author has actually bothered to take with it. Total waste of money. The author is just doing this to make money off of the film and gives romance writers and even worse name.
