This is less plastic like if you taste it unmelted than the Daiya, still not cheese like. Flavor wise it's okay. Value wise it's a lot better priced than the Daiya. Daiya used to be much better but they've changed the formula and the shreds are less cheese like unless melted. Once melted this satisfies my dairy cheese cravings which I can't indulge due to severe lactose intolerance.
