3M Adhesive Remover lets you quickly remove adhesive, attachment tape, tar and wax from your vehicle’s painted surfaces without harmful scraping tools or abrasives. This easy-to-use blend of solvents won’t harm most automotive paint surfaces and also works on glass or vinyl. It can also be used during body repair. Instructions for removing bumper stickers are included.

Removes the Residue, Leaves the Paint

3M Adhesive Remover uses a blend of petroleum solvents that helps remove the stickers and wax without abrasives or the need for scrapers or other tools. This wipe-on, wipe-off formula requires no mixing and is safe for use on most cured automotive paints. It is also suitable for removing adhesive residue from vinyl and glass surfaces. It can be used to remove tar, attachment tape residue and bumper sticker adhesive as well as wax.

3M Adhesive Remover is also available in larger containers, great for removing surface contaminants such as masking tape and other adhesive residue from bare or primed metal in auto body repair.

I read a lot of negative reviews before ordering this product and I after using it I can't understand how those people came to the conclusion it didn't work. I used this to remove residue left from door edge guards on my 2 year old car, before trying this 3M product I used Goo Gone, a plastic scraper and eventually a heat gun too. None of those solutions worked for me! 3M had the residue removed within twenty minutes using a rag and my thumb to rub it off which needless to say was amazing. You do have to be mindful of the fumes and work in an open environment. I will never again waste my time with Goo Gone.

The can says "auto" on it. The best so far for a project restoring old and very messy auto rims. Don't bother with 3 M general purpose adhesive remover - it isn't strong enough for the insides of wheel rims. This works, but not the way you would think. It does NOT dissolve old wheel weight adhesive. What it DOES do is turn it into goopy rubber cement. Then, like rubber cement, you have to apply elbow grease and squoosh the rubber cement onto a towel or rag. What you see on the towel is what has come off. A plastic scraper of some sort, or a finger nail, is a GREAT help in physically removing the goop. That takes several efforts. Finally, when the rubber cement is barely visible, this product will pretty much dissolve and remove that last fine film. So, it works. I liked it. But it isn't a spray on/wipe off, but a spray on/towel off with strong pressure. It does the job. Next I will try the plastic adhesive remover wheels that go in a drill. I suspect that those will work best to physically grab the adhesive cement like goop.

Good stuff. Takes anything sticky right off the car. Doesn't seem to have any negative effect on the paint. Expensive, but worth it. The can will last a LONG time as a little of this product goes a long way.

*I am getting sick and tired of all the fake reviews on Amazon. Let me assure you that I am a normal person who paid full price for this adhesive remover and that this is my honest, unbiased opinion. Nobody paid for this review or offered me any favors or free product to write it.

I tried a few other products and this one is by far the best. I achieved the best possible results with this product. I removed the old racing stripes from my car and the adhesive that was left had to be removed. Soap and water did not work. Most important to keep in mind is to have an open ventilated area in the shade. Do not use this product in an enclosed area, especially inside the house. Works best when used in a cool area outside. I used a plastic putty type knife or squeegee to remove the adhesive along with an old rag or washcloth. Afterwards you can use soap and water to remove any residue.

I was a little nervous to order this as it does look the same as what I have used for years. I tried it and I'm happy I did. It does have a citrus scent but the one I had been using was orange. This stuff works great. I had adhesive residue on a couple of plastic items that it took off completely without damaging the plastic's finish at all. I also used it to remove the dealership's sticker off the tailgate. It worked fantastic in removing everything quickly and leaving the finish in perfect condition. As with any chemical. Always do a small test area on any vulnerable materials or finishes just in case it does hurt the finish. This out performs any other remover I've ever used, At work I use it frequently to deal with a multitude of issues including to clean stubborn marks. I have tried many different brands and types. This beats them all

Let me start off by saying that I've been an Amazon Prime member for years and this is one of the few reviews I've written. I recently purchased a 2014 Kia Optima, in white, that had residue left behind from the factory stickers. I went all winter ignoring it and opting out of bringing it back to the dealer to handle. On a warmer day I spent about an hour using a credit card and my nail to scrape off the glue, but it still left a good amount of residue behind. It was either purchase something, or go back to the dealer. I purchased this product and hesitated for a good week on whether or not to actually use it. I was petrified of ruining the paint more than anything. Naturally I sprayed a bit in an inconspicuous area, let it sit for a few hours, only to come back to nothing but a clean spot. I sprayed about a two-second spray on a piece of paper towel and the glue on each door came off with zero effort. I spent just a few minutes clearing the residue off all four doors. The smell is pretty bad but it's nothing that being outside cannot remedy for you. I recommend this product to anyone who is tired of glue being left behind. I am very pleased with this purchase!

Worked best out of all similar products for stripe decals

I had racing stripe decals on my car for probably 7 years before the sun faded and cracked them to the point of needing to be removed. Getting them off was a huge undertaking, and I used a lot of different sprays to try to get them off, but this one (which I sadly discovered last out of all of them) worked by far the best. It took a little elbow grease - I imagine more than would be needed to remove something a little less tough, like a bumper sticker - but this spray plus a regular rag and my fingernails got the last remaining area of the stripe on my front bumper completely off in about 30 mins. No damage to the paint.

I bought this to remove sticker residue from my rear bumper after reading the reviews. Goo Gone and Goof Off had failed me so I thought this would do the trick. After spraying it on according to the directions, my bumper immediately turned white and I had a hell of a time getting it off. After three attempts to wipe this off cleanly, I had a little headache from the fumes and the residue from the sticker is still there. Disappointed, as this wasn't cheap.
