Desperate for a better product, I searched the internet, and found 3M Vetbond. It is a similar surgical adhesive, but designated for veterinary use. Inasmuch as it is made by 3M, many people believe that it is the same product as the old 3M Nexcare product, and possibly the same as the 3M surgical adhesive used in hospitals. I don't claim to know. Although meant for veterinary use, I used it to treat my skin cracks. They are healing nicely. The product does not burn or sting when applied. CAUTION: This is cyanoacrylate, similar to Superglue. Be careful in applying it. Do not touch the application site, or your skin will stick to it. Read the directions carefully as to how to use the included applicators. Most people report using a tiny amount of adhesive placed in the cut, and the sides pressed together, without making contact with the fingers used to press.
Other than the caution above, the only problem I have encountered is a slightly increased desire to chase tennis balls.
One thing I will say is that for the people who say it doesn't sting: that just means you didn't get it *in* the cut. Sometimes, it is completely painless, presumably because you seal the edges together without any leaking down into the cut. But, if it gets in the cut... Wow, yes it does sting, but only briefly.
Review: I really like this product except for the caps it comes with they just don't make sense and clog very easily. This holds better then superglue and instantly drys if on skin you will feel mild burni g but rest assured it can be washed off /peeled off under mildly hot water.
