I initially purchased the blue hat, which I like a lot, but I think the white one offers an extra protection in that is provides great visibility so that others can see you. Both are great hats and work fine, but if you're going to be using this at dusk/night, I would recommend White or as a second choice bright yellow.
The ratcheting headband is great except for the "leather like" sweat band that makes your forehead sweat like crazy. Do yourself a favor and replace it with the 3M replacement that had a foam/fabric and snap buttons.
The vents seem well intended but I don't really notice any discernible difference in between this hat and my old jackson safety non-vented. South Carolina heat in July is brutal, so you figure if feel somewhat of a breeze blowing in, but nope.
Overall it's a great fitting hat and it's worth the money, but just don't expect it to be like a rush of cool wind through your hair.
In retrospect, I don't know that blue is the best color for visibility, but it does look good and is very comfortable as far as hard hats go.
