Previously I had this same product on my 21" iMac and it was great! Anyone near my computer could even tell it was on! My new computer at work is a 27" iMac and it does not offer quite as much privacy because the computer is so big. Also, because the computer so big, it does make it very hard to see the whole screen. What I mean by that is has some shadowing on the sides if you are looking straight at the computer and depending how close you are sitting to the computer; the further back from the monitor, the more clear the screen becomes. As far as angle viewing, if someone is standing to the side of me, (45 degree angle or so) the image is darkened and slightly distorted. If someone is directly to my right or left side, the screen appears dark as if the computer is not on. All-in-all, it does do it's job, just not quite as well as the one for a smaller computer.

Update:
I am going to return it.
This thing gives me headache more than the original glares on the iMAC screen. It is impossible to read papers or code with this filter on.

=================
Okay I got this 100$ piece of plastic for GLARE reduction.
Here are my observations.
If you use the antiglare side, the filter sticks to monitor without any glue/stickers needed. This is very nice.
You can remove it whenever you want and put it back without any problems.
The glare is reduced significantly but there are some main issues.

First and foremost the angle of visibility is very narrow. If you sit so close (1.5 feet) to the monitor, you yourself wont't be able to see the left and right edges.
Second, you see reflections of the items too. The light from monitor hits the glossy side and reflects back onto the iMAC glass and comes to your eyes. You see shades on the edges of high contrast pictures if you have even a slight angle towards them.
If you look directly straight at the contrast edge, with 0 degree angle, you won't see the shades.
Third, the white and very light colors are distorted.

Overall:
If you want to use it for glare reduction, it is a good option since you can put it whenever you want and remove it as many times you like. You wont need the stickers and electrical charge of the iMAC screen holds it tight.
However, there is color distortion and shades.

I would say for dark backgrounds and movie previews it works very nice. For light backgrounds the white is not as clear (rainbow effect).
But when the background is white you really dont see that much glare on iMAC. So simply remove the filter and put it back again when needed.

Purchased this because I needed some privacy for my iMac that is in a very public area. It really only blurs the image if looking at it from the sides, but once your directly in front of it, even at 20 feet you can see whats on the desktop. I've seen other privacy filters that completely blacks out if looking at it from the sides. This one does not do that. It also takes some getting use to since it blurs your view when looking at it when sitting directly in front of it. Too bad there aren't many other options for iMacs when it comes to privacy filters.
