Achieve professional-quality paint jobs when you mask with ScotchBlue Advanced Delicate Surface painter's tape. Made for interior use, this painter's tape is well suited for smooth surfaces such as glass or vinyl-coated wallpaper, and its low adhesion lets you apply it to freshly painted surfaces without causing damage. Edge-Lock Protector technology blocks paint and yields remarkably sharp lines--great for painting striped walls or doing other precise work. This 60-yard roll of tape comes in different widths.
Apply ScotchBlue tape to floors, tiles, and other surfaces to achieve professional-looking paint jobs (click each to enlarge).
ScotchBlue Advanced Delicate Surface painter's tape is designed for interior painting projects and is best suited for smooth, non-textured surfaces, including walls, ceilings, floors, cabinets, baseboards, and window and door trim. Because the tape has minimal adhesion, and it removes cleanly with no surface damage, it can be used on freshly painted surfaces (24 hours old or more) and other delicate surfaces. The low adhesion also lets you leave the tape in place for up to 60 days without any adhesive transfer, giving you extra time and flexibility for your painting projects.
Edge-Lock Protector for Sharp Lines
This product features ScotchBlue's advanced Edge-Lock Paint Line Protector technology, which is designed to keep out paint and produce exceptionally sharp paint lines for a brilliant look.
UV- and Sunlight-Resistant
Like all ScotchBlue products, ScotchBlue Advanced Delicate Surface painter's tape is UV-resistant to prevent tape breakdown and can be used in direct sunlight.
Available in Different Widths
Made in the United States, this 60-yard roll of tape is available in several widths, including 3/4-inch, 1-inch, 1-1/2-inch, and 2-inch. ScotchBlue's recognizable logo and colors make the tape easy to find in a drawer or tool box.

A quick addendum, Nov. 2015: I re-ordered this product, but was delivered a roll of tape that had "MEDIUM" adhesion, rather than "LOW." I then looked (pun alert!) high and low for Scotch's low adhesive tape, but can't find it anywhere, online or in stores. Maybe Scotch is no longer making it. Anyway, I gave up and went to Lowe's to find a "delicate surface" Frogtape and now use that. It's a yucky yellow; nevertheless, it does the job. So if you're looking for an alternative to Scotch...
I painted my son's room 3 different shades of blue, 3 stripes. We needed a tape that would be delicate enough for something freshly painted. We actually didn't even wait a full 24 hours (just overnight) and began taping over the fresh paint. It seemed to seal well, but we do have textured walls so there was some bleed through - which is common with painters tape, but there's a trick to painting the wall(paint the base color first so it seals it with the base color). Had decent but not damaging adhesive...we actually had the tape on less than a day and never had any issues.
I've read some other reviews and I just don't think they understood the product when they bought it. Oh well. It worked great for us and I would definitely use it in the future.
I was using the stickier tape on metal and slick surfaces, and only leaving on a day or two. This version (for "delicate" surfaces) was the ONLY one that did not leave a residue. I had resigned myself to using Goo Gone whenever I used the stickier tape. Than I found this version (the dotts on the rolls denote the level of adhesion). Saved me TONS of time.
P.S. I sometimes buy the wider rolls and cut them down the middle to make two narrower rolls (to save a couple of bucks...I said I use a LOT of this tape!)
I put it on perfectly - taped off ceiling, french doors, regular door, window and baseboards. It took forever because it's hard to use - sticks to itself and hard to control placement because it seems to have a mind of its own. It took quite a long time, but I thought I was saving time in the long run. Silly me.
Delivers sharp paint lines? - No, it doesn't. Paint creeps under the edge.
Applies quickly and easily?- No, it doesn't. The tape sticks to itself and curls along the edge, so accurate placement is a struggle. Has to be repositioned over and over again.
Removes cleanly with no residue? - No, it doesn't remove "cleanly." It tears apart and leaves tiny bits of tape that have paint on them stuck to the surface. They have to be removed with a razor blade.
Easy to use - comes off the roll easily? Well, it comes off the roll easily; but that hardly makes it easy to use - unless your entire objective is to pull the tape off the roll.

Not as delicate as I hoped. Used it on the suede side of some leather I was dying, it really disrupted the fibers. Might work for most purposes, but didn't work for mine.Published 2 months ago by Hank S
