3M Dual Lock SJ3560 Type 250 Clear Reclosable Fastener offers advanced closure alternatives to zippers, screws, snaps, hooks, bolts and more. It offers greater design flexibility, faster product assembly, smoother and cleaner exterior surfaces and improved product performance in many applications. The fastener consists of continuous polyolefin strips with polyolefin stems having a mushroom shaped top. The mushroom heads allow the fasteners to easily slide over each other allowing positioning of parts before they are snapped together creating a firm fastening attachment. Open and close instantly by simply pulling the interlocking strips apart. The adhesive attaches to metal, plastic, and most rigid or flexible surfaces. Resists solvents, moisture and plasticizers. Also resists heat up to 200 degrees. 1" wide x 6' long roll. Type 250 (approximately 250 stems per square inch)

Used it to attach a wall mounted item in my shower. The adhesive started to fail only after more than several years. Cut identical lengths (if you need a half-foot length for a surface, you need to buy a foot of the product) and attach one piece to the mounting surface and the other to the item to be mounted. The product is designed to mate with itself. Then wait for 72 hours for the adhesive to cure before hanging the object.

This peel and stick "Dual Lock-Sj3560" Reclosable Fastener is outstanding, and head and shoulders above even 'heavy duty' Velcro. It is virtually impervious to heat! No wonder many states send small strips of this to fasten their E-Z Pass toll road transponders to the windshield. I've used Velcro to hold down a power cord for a navigation unit and, after a short time, it got gooey and slid out of place from the heat in the car. Get this 3m Dual Lock Sj3560. You'll be glad you did.

I thought I was getting 6 feet of fasteners, which I guess I did-- it's a single-sided piece of the dual-lock fastener, 6 feet long. But since you need two pieces of dual-lock fastener to lock together, you really have three feet of fastener. This isn't like Velcro, where the two sides are different. Both sides are the same in the dual-lock system. I just thought I was getting a two-sided six-foot length. Now that I read the description I think I got what I paid for.

This is really great stuff by the way. This is what Velcro dreams of being. Great self-stick adhesive, super-strong locking/holding power, but easily taken apart. Not sure that I'll ever get the adhesive off but that's OK.

Very solid connection. I played with 1.5 inch pieces -- every time I "opened" the pieces few "hooks"/"mashrooms" would separate. I can't see how possibly it could survive 1000 close/open cycles (as stated in the 3M spec). But still, it is a much better alternative to Velcro for applicable usage.

This stuff rules over entire land of velcro-like things. I use it to hang blackout blinds that weigh several pounds each. I am able to take them down when I am not on a night shift rotation, which is what I really like. There is no opposite sides like with velcro, it simply attaches to itself. You can cut to whatever dimensions you need with this roll.

We needed this 3M brand Dual Lock tape for our company Ez-Pass cars. This dual lock faster system is sort of like plastic Velcro. Instead of using the hook and loop design this is both sides are the same. The little bristles are kind of "L" or "T" shaped. This allows both pieces to stick to itself.

This tape has a fairly strong adhesive tape on the back. It has held up to a couple years of extreme heat and cold here in the Northeast. It has lasted longer than any of our cars. The reason for buying more is you only get 4 pieces when you purchase an Ez-pass. This is enough for one vehicle. However if you have say several cars or a fleet you might end up swapping out the Ez-Pass as we do. Have this already in the car is a life saver. Just make sure all your vehicles personal or business is listed on the Ez-Pass site.

This Dual Lock system by 3M works very well for the Ez-Pass if not a little over kill. I can't say if it would withstand the elements outside but it feels like a very durable product. Amazon has this 6 foot and was cheaper than other places for already cut pieces. We have scissors to cut the pieces. :-)
