Covid 19 protection

With cold and flu season approaching, kids going back to school, and covid 19 restrictions being lifted, and people getting blase about the risk, I am even more concerned about Covid 19. I have been using several pre-covid n-95 masks all spring and summer, but they are getting pretty dirty. When the half face respirators became available again I got two along with several P-100 filters. They do not protect the people standing in front of you since they have an exhalation valve. I guess I will wear a cloth mask over the respirator to protect others, which seems to be more than even our president is willing to do. My husband and I both found the medium to fit well. It is snug to the face, and if you cover the filter openings, you cannot breathe, which proves a good seal. Make sure you order the filters, as the respirator does not come with filters.

I know it looks super uncomfortable, but this mask is way less onerous than an n95. It lets you get a clear breath, and it lets you exhale all of that air completely. It relieves you of the swamp sitting on your face, dripping off your nose. And it fits snugly on your face. This is the way to decisively isolate yourself from airborne viruses.

NOTE: This style of mask protects you, but it does almost nothing to protect others from you. The valve that allows you to exhale sends all of your germs out into the world. But this is easily remedied by stretching a simple cloth or paper mask over the outflow valve. Which doesn't affect your experience at all.

Not easy to get because of restrictions. Bought to replace one I use for fiberglass work. These masks combined with organic vapor filters protect the user from harsh chemical smells used with epoxy, vinylester, and polyester resins, as well as when painting. Also use P100 filters when doing woodwork.

I occasionally work and paint and especially living in a colder environment that will usually be inside my workshop. This mask helped me be able to breathe clearer then I ever have in my entire life. Also get the right filters for this. The pink disc filters are fine for particulates like wood dust etc. But I would spend the extra money and get the bigger yellow/pink filters that are also fine for particulates like wood dust BUT also great for paint fumes. You wanna save as many brain cells as you can.
