The seemingly tough straps are a facade, a fake strength designed to make one believe it's tough.
Usage: Just under 1 yr. light usage (house to car, car to office).
1 - Straps and durability straps are NOT sewn deep into the pack, but just on the edge as seen here. Naturally when you lose a whole shoulder strap the pack is essentially useless.
2 - Seams appear to be single, not double stitched.
I really wanted to like this pack and I hope the company addresses these serious flaws.

Thanks3V Gear Velox II Large Tactical Assault Backpack Rucksack, MOLLE Compatible for Military Gear, Outdoors, Hiking, Bug Out Backpack
THIS IS A GREAT BUDGET TACTICAL BACKPACK!! This is a copy of a Maxpedition Falcon II backpack, and overall it gets about an 8.0/10 when compared to genuine Maxpedition. Why a 5-star rating, then, and not a 4-star, you ask? Because the price is only 40% of what you would pay for the Maxped. The high value to cost ratio rates it a 5-star rating from me, and I would recommend this pack to anyone without hesitation.
All seams are double sewn throughout, with very few stray threads. The carry handle uses box reinforced stitching for extra strength. Zippers are large and satisfactory, and while not YKK brand, they should be serviceable for this pack. Zipper pulls are commercial nylon cordage, not paracord. The zippers are not sewn inverted as in some other bags, so there is no protection from water or dust entering the zipper.
Organization is exactly as laid out in the Maxpedition original. Which is to say, I think it strikes the right balance between too much and nothing at all. The main compartment clamshells open all the way, for easy access to your primary gear, whether clothing, a laptop, or whatever. Other compartments and pockets have ample storage for all your EDC items. Cinch straps on the sides secure the pack nice and slim when not loaded to full capacity.
I do not intend to ever utilize the front Y-strap or the waist belt, so I removed both those items. Removal was easy, and they are easily reattached, should I wish to do so in the future. When I did a test fit of the waist belt, it seemed to ride too high on my body, which contributed to my decision to remove the belt. Shoulder straps have ample padding, and include webbing and plastic D-rings for attachment of small gear. The sternum strap does not ride too high, and has a bit of elastic for easy adjustment.
My one complaint about the bag is the stitching of the PALS webbing, or MOLLE. The PALS webbing rows are properly spaced at 1-inch intervals, but the stitching to separate the columns is very slightly uneven on the front. On the sides, the story is even worse. The side PALS webbing is stitched so there are three columns of webbing, where there is only room for two. That means you in effect only have one usable column of PALS webbing on each side of the bag, as the other two columns are too narrow to fit any attachments. However, this one minor design flaw does not detract from the overall quality of the bag enough for me to remove a star from the rating.
Overall, the quality of this bag approaches that of bags which cost twice or three times the price of the 3V Gear Velox II. I can and will recommend this backpack without hesitation, especially to anyone looking for a high quality tactical backpack at a budget price.
Down and dirty review and demonstration of the basic features that surround the Velox II.
My personal suggested uses:
💡 Day hikes. Note: Unless ultra-light backpacking (for you minimalists out there), I would not suggest this for an overnighter.
💡 Gym bag.
💡 College book bag, especially for medical students who have 50lbs worth of books.
💡 Carry on for air travel. Note: If you REALLY pack this thing (causing it to expand), it may be too much for some airline's carry-on-luggage dimensions.
💡 Work bag. Fits my MacBook Pro (15") + tons of cables for my videography gigs.
💡 Ammo/range bag. With all the pockets, this would fit bullets and gun gear nicely and keep things beautifully segregated. Tough enough too to lug around outdoors. For this bag, a little dirt don't hurt.
✅ Comfort: Surprisingly comfortable. Very well thought out straps and easy to adjust. Plus the shoulder straps wick away moisture + padded. If you're curious, my body type is 6'1", 165lbs, size 32 waist. But it's expandable if you're less scrawny than me.
✅ Expandable: Large number of pockets (see video). They compress down, so you can pack this thing and have it expand all the way out or go minimalist. Either way the pockets expand/compress depending on what you have inside.
✅ Tough: Very tough canvas feel and big, over sized zippers. Note: No waterproof. As with any backpack, carry a pack rain cover if it looks like rain and you're in the brush.
✅ Price: Excellent price compared to how long this will last. I would consider this an "investment" more than anything... it'll pay itself off in the long run. I've had some backpacks wear out already.
✅ Simplicity: While the pack looks complicated initially, the bells and whistles are kept to a minimum. The compression straps and big zipper ties dangling off do not impede access to the pockets as much as I initially thought.
✅ Look: It looks pretty awesome. Definitely a conversation topic.
✅ Solid company: Nice folks at 3V. They actually sent me this pack to test and review, which says a lot about a company and their confidence in their products (no I don't work them).
🍅 Deployment: Whilst jumping from a helicopter, the parachute did not unfurl as expected. But alas it was a good thing we were practicing over a mattress factory. This has been a test to see if you've read my review this far. If you have congratulations. And my apologies for lying to you just now. I owe you lunch.
5/5 stars. A tough, versatile, gear bag that will take a lot of abuse.
**Update** - I was just researching "bug out bags," and I would like to add this purpose to this bag's list of uses; it'd make an excellent survival bag.
