Listened to all 23+ minutes immediately after download. Has all the Westerberg hooks we've come to expect. He's as good as ever, and that's nothing short of spectacular. I might change my mind later but of the two tracks, "Finally Here Once" is my pick of the two tracks.

I really like Paul Westerbergs music, and have ever since the good old 80's when i was a teen who thought he was the only lonely one. His music still continues to keep me interested beyond the teenage seclusion and angst of youth. The only reason why I don't give this a higher rating is becasue track one is highly annoying in it's length and its editing. The editing sort of reminds me of early beck singles that were great until you got to the annoying screeching or noise at the end of the song that made you record it on to tape to skip it. Though it is a great peek into how an artist such as himself might record, the fact that the the first track could have been broken down into smaller segments for someone to listen to would have been an easier listen. I understand keeping the whole thing as a cohesive unit to show the listener a different side, but the problem is the nonsensical has to be waded through to get to the real music inflections. There are some real jewels in here, especially the duet with Tom Waits at the end of the track. Again not saying the music is bad, but the fact that in todays generation of ipods and mp3's (Which is how i bought the music), editing this two song ep into a 7 or 8 track situation would have been much better than a 20 minute track that people will fast forward through or turn off before its done. Overall i would say i am glad he let us listen, and hope he keeps letting us listen, and am only saying 20 minute cuts in this digital age are better for an actual 20 minute song isntead of 6 songs clipped and fused together by noise.

I will agree with the previous reviewer on the title track, but doesn't anybody else recognize "Finally Here Once" as INXS "This Time"?
