Editorial Reviews

In the cosmopolitan city of Hong Kong, ace hit-man Marcus Nang was summoned to meet with three professional colleagues. The location? His choice. The reason? To resolve unfinished business. Not knowing who might show up, Marcus checks into a suite at the Sham Shui Guesthouse, an Asian style hotel in a not so glamorous part of town. He waits. The first top arrive is the beautiful Cordelia Leigh, Marcus's former lover and and an equally deadly killer. For Marcus, seeing Cordelia after all these years is a surprise given the circumstance. Their relationship ended badly and Cordelia has not forgiven him. Accompanying Cordelia is Chase Holmes, a young gun from Gibralter, who is eager to make his mark. Eli Stoke, the mentor to Marcus and Cordelia is the last to arrive. A well-weathered gentleman, Eli has been in the business longer than he can remember. It pains him to have to confront Marcus, who looks up to him as a father figure. Clearly something has gone wrong with the last hit. Eli and Cordelia press Marcus for answers while Chase is ready to kill. Marcus insists he has done what needed to be done. Eli wants to know the real truth. Over an elaborate meal the four highly skilled assassins reminisce about the past and ponder the future. In a tense and highly claustrophobic setting, accusations fly, lines are drawn and secrets revealed. It all culminates to an explosive showdown where no one is safe. "Four Assassins" examines the meaning of love against a violent and brutal backdrop, and ask the ultimate question, what is the price of love. Shot entirely on location in Hong King, "Four Assassins" stars Will Yun Lee (Die Another Day, Hawaii Five-O) and Miguel Ferrer (Traffic, Twin Peaks).

Marcus (Will Yun Lee) is a paid assassin who operates with a sense of humor and a touch of noir. He is visited by three fellow assassins. Cordelia (Mercedes Renard) is the jilted ex-girlfriend who is still bitter. Chase (Oliver Williams) is the new guy who is "more British than Brit." And Eli (Miguel Ferrer) a sentimental mentor with a bad heart. It seems Marcus was supposed to perform two hits, but only did one. The other three assassins are there to find out why, one way or another...and make things right.

The film is more like a play. Except for the flashbacks, it takes place in one hotel room. There is great interaction among the characters. The audience knows things aren't as they seem. There has got to be a big twist, some major pre-planned turn of events, an ending that puts the icing on the cake. Unfortunately, what is a good film lacks the expected climax.

The film starts you off in the middle of some action drama and through-out the whole experience makes you want to know what happens next.

These type of stories and films are really more so short stories in my opinion that are great for viewing at least once. You get connected just enough to care if a character makes it to the end but at the same time you feel like you wanted a little more out the film.

This is definitely a adult film in terms of content and the action scenes and don't recommend it for family viewing.

Trying to keep this short; I wanted more from the film but at the same time I was satisfied enough with the content not to rage about it.

Also horrible, miserable, atrocious, and bad. I've seen better acting on 80s sitcoms, and whoever wrote the dialogue needs to be slowly hung by the neck over an open fire while being forced to watch Barney and Teletubbies reruns so they can understand the agony they've inflicted on anybody that tries to watch this movie.

Good movie in the "Reservoir Dogs" vein of murderers killing each other all in one room kind of way. A little too cliche in a couple small areas... but overall very much worth the viewing.

Funny thing about Amazon's description is that they list the main character as a "supporting actor". I'd love to know how one can make a mistake like that.

Movies goes down in one place, people are receiving bullets that they could avoid there's not a story behind I wish I could have a refund plus interest as well as compensation for time and ressources waste on this.

This is a good first big screen debut by director/screen writer Stanley Orzel. You will be disappointed if you are looking for an action film-this is more of a "psychological" action film with the 4 assassins coming together for some unfinished business. Great concept, directing and cinematography. Had some very funny lines and I might have added some more and took it in the direction of a campy film (considering the low budget) that could entice a cult following for future encounters with the 4 assassins.

Contrary to its title, there wasn't as much action as I expected. With a title like "4 Assassins" I was thinking it was action-packed. It wasn't. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a bad plot but just too brainy and not enough brawl.

First I loved the way this film unfolded...it was like unwrapping a present. The Terrific Will Yun Lee, is the first we meet, he is an assassin, he was to kill a man and a woman, next we meet his ex-girl and also an assassin and her partner? Chase. They have come to start a discussion then comes the leader of this little family Miguel Ferrer. Apparently Marcus(will Yun Lee) didn't fulfill a contract. What follows are talks, games of cat and mouse, lots of walking on egg shells. For all intents and purposes this is a 4 person film and they all are superb. Lots of tension and suspense. I've seen Will Yun Lee in other films...someday he will be recognized as a real talent. And needless to say I won't spoil the end.
