Considerations
I would like to address who can benefit from 
this book and give some tidbits on me, the 
author. Hopefully, this will allow you to
decide if this is the right journey for you.
Whether you are a teen, adult, male or female, 
dealing with an eating disorder, depression, a disease
like cancer or gut imbalances, you're a nurse, doctor, or simply 
want to lose ten pounds, bottom line is this - 
if you are dedicated to your personal
growth and committed to your health, then read on. If
reclaiming your sexy grabs your attention, then
definitely read on. Perhaps you have tried diet and
lifestyle changes but haven't realized the results you
wish. Does your busy lifestyle often get in the way of
your health goals? Have you been struggling to drop
excess weight and feel it may be out of your control?
Have you realized that diet trends and
short-term fixes are not the answer for your vitality? 
And finally, do you recognize that your answers are not just physical?
 
This book will not give you a silver bullet. Instead,
this book will tackle health and vitality from various
angles and pull it together for long-term success. It is
not an overnight fix. Although you will read techniques
you likely have not considered before, this journey is
about implementing small, practical changes that
become ingrained in you for the long haul - even at a 
psychological level.
 
If you like to pick up books to gather information,
yet rarely implement that information into your life,
then you might be a bit disappointed. I say that because
the title of this book claims a pretty big promise. And
that promise is delivered only if you are committed to
doing some things differently. On top of that, you need
an open mind, because we will discuss protocols you
may have never considered relevant in the past.
 
But I assure you that those very protocols just may
catapult your health and vitality to record levels, not to
mention revealing your inner sexy to the world (in only
four minutes a day, mind you). If, and only if, you
commit to trying something new and sacrificing four
minutes of your precious day will you be able to
experience these claims come to life. Is that something
you are open to?
 
About Me
A little about me as an author and educator. I like to
simplify things for my readers. In fact, this is kind of
my thing, my calling, so-to-speak. I do the heavy lifting
of researching all the geek-talk to bring you something
simple, practical, and easy to implement. I will make
suggestions in case you also enjoy geek-talk and want
more detail on certain topics (for example antioxidants, 
phytochemicals, mitachondria, or parasitology. I also put myself
physically through the wringer at times in order to cut
corners for my followers. It's not always intentional or
expected but nonetheless, I have accepted this as my
fate for the greater good. And I will share many of these
personal health obstacles with you so that you can learn
from my lessons and avoid similar trip-ups.
 
With a teaching background in the glorious world of
food, I have been called "The Practical Chef." Although
the focus of health takes the front seat, my cuisine is
also practical for the busy person. That also means any
recipes I give you may not be gourmet-restaurant
quality. "Gourmet" is not in my repertoire by any
stretch of the imagination. You will see things like
delicious one-pot-meals, a quick blender soup, or
overnight soaked muesli for taking on the road. I may
also attempt to tweak your lifestyle a bit to prioritize
precious time in the kitchen in a gentle and nurturing
way. But I assure you, my suggestions are practical,
always healthy, and quite tasty if I do say so myself. I
take this approach with my students with individual
health consultations, coaching, and customized cooking
instruction.
 
I take a common-sense approach to eating and life
in general. I tend to think big-picture and bring it to a
practical level for students to make better day-to-day
choices. Many solutions may not be your solutions, as
we all have our own journey to walk. And although
there are many similarities among us, there are just as
many differences. My one-size-does-not-fit-all
approach will leave room for you to experiment and
make your own choices. I may eat an 80-90% plant derived
diet, but that doesn't mean you have to do so
for success. We all have our own vulnerabilities,
lifestyles, preferences, values and biases. This book will
take that into consideration when offering suggestions.
 
In fact, this book is filled mostly with suggestions
except where I feel we need to get real regarding
lifestyle choices that are simply not health-promoting.
I will give you the nuts and bolts to common-sense
eating and throw in a lot of other information for you to
chew on - from physical to psychological to spiritual. 
Some may resonate, some may not. Some
may help to piece together your own health journey;
others you may choose to toss. And I assure you, you
will learn something new, look at things differently, and
if you implement "The 4-Minute Miracle" for sealing
the deal on your sexy, well, you may just transform
your world.
