I have lots of case fans and needed a converter. This came quickly in the mail and worked flawlessly. Simply plug it into where it needs to go, for me it had to go to my power supply molex and the other end to the case fan. If you plug in a case fan to the motherboard, it wont spin as fast as it would if you were to plug it straight into the power supply.

I have a home built computer circa 2000. I have been able to upgrade all major components over the years including water cooling which eventually leaked due to a cracked water block. When I arrived at the current iteration, the floppy cable did not quite reach the drive. (I have several floppies from early in my hobby phase and just wanted to be able to read them.) This cable solved the power cable problem. Added a data connection cable as well and now all is right with the world.

The picture shows what looks like one red, two black, and one white cable but the white is actually the standard yellow wire for this setup. Looking at it in my hand, I think I could have made this with the two connectors I had by just connecting the appropriate wires together. This would not look good in a "Gamer Case" with its clear side panel though but neither does an adapter, I guess. Oh the conundrum! Anywho... this item powers my old floppy drive for which there was no similar connector with the new power supply I replaced. Heck, I don't even know what it does except necessitate pressing "F1" at startup if it isn't powered. Thanks to this cable, I can boot up without any extraneous button pushing on my part. As Vince "the Slap-Chop guy" would say, "Who's got time for that?". Thanks Micro SATA cables!

If your adding a floppy to your computer, you may need this adapter cable for power. Many newer computers don't have a floppy plug on the cable harness. This just allows you to plug your floppy into a standard 4-pin molex plug, and you should have one of those.

I bought a USB 3.0 internal PCI card which required a power connection in the form of the connector used for floppy disk drives. As no such connector was available in that part of the case, I used this extension cable to connect to a standard molex power connector. It worked fine.

Aesthetics is not in it's attributes but it is cheap and does what it was meant to do. The cable is actually 12 inches (approximately 13 inches from beggining of one connector to end of the other)

I need the extra connection for a friend's Floppy Disk ( don't know why he wanted it) but it worked out great and within a couple of moments he was up and running.

My rampage iv motherboard has allot of extra input power connector ports. This one was needed to stablize 64 gigs of ram installed.
