In 2003 my family and I decided to pursue a plastic free lifestyle, one of the ways we did this was through the use of stainless steel Indian Tiffin boxes as opposed to plastic containers. These Indian Tiffin boxes were a huge success, we loved them so much, we decided to sell them online and have since become the world’s largest Indian-Tiffin Box seller!

This 4 tier Indian Tiffin has been specifically developed for us. It is made of food grade stainless steel thus making it durable, long-lasting and versatile. This Indian Tiffin is perfect for picnics, school lunches and carrying snacks. The 4 Tier Indian Tiffin box is trendy and practical due to features such as the shorter foldaway handle. When complete the 4 tiffin boxes stack up on top of each other and are sealed, through a simple locking mechanism, although they are not water tight, they do a pretty good job of keeping liquid in. Tiffin boxes originated in Mumbai, India, where they have been used for centuries and are still used today. The 4 Tier Indian Tiffin box is also dishwasher and freezer safe, and can be used directly on stoves or campfires. 4 separate food compartments

Three separate compartments give you a lot of flexibility in what you want to carry in one neat box and without the contents mixing. The total volume is 2.05 ltr (69.3 fl.oz). When fully assembled the Tiffin-Box stands 18.6cm from the floor.

Great for hot and cold foods alike

The Box is very versatile. Foods can be placed in the compartments and if needed can be placed in the fridge or freezer, allowing food to be kept colder when taken out of the house. The stainless steel compartments could be placed directly on heat sources, but be sure to use the right equipment so you do not get burned..

Sturdy fold-away carry handle

This Tiffin Box has a neat fold-away handle that folds down allowing you to place the box into a bag our purse. It does not however lose any of its sturdiness, as whenever you are ready to use it again, it can redeployed by simply flicking it back into place

These are a lovely set and a good size for an Indian meal for 4. They are large enough and the right size for a portable device. This does not mean they are the size of dinner plates. They are ample to refill when having a dinner party. The fun is in the carrying to and from the table. They really make a statement when opened out in the middle of a table and set upon a long wooden serving board. They have these at the Mowgli restaurants which they serve this way along with the stainless steel tiffin plates. Great for an Indian dinner party. Just keep filling them up!

Poor Workmanship - Rust Spots

Large is misleading, especially when the seller deliberately omits the dimensions. Workmanship on the outside is good, however he inside shows signs of rust spots where the handles secured.

Good for storing packaged items, NOT sandwiches, fruit or other foodstuff on direct contact with the metal lining. Only two layers have no scratches inside.

Very disappointed, will use it to store camping bits and bobs, kindling etc, NOT food. Glad I only paid around £8 on sale despite delivery charge. Poor packaging, company needs to focus on quality not quantity.

It may be acceptable for the Indian market, not the West. Its worth £4 not the £8 let alone what they're charging now.
