Then I got the camera back. While the box had been checked that the camera had been inspected, when I put the lens on and put the camera to my eye, it was in worse condition than when I'd sent it. At least the camera had been able to focus. Now, no focus AND no light meter. So I called and fussed and shipped the camera back to them.
It's been over a week. I received confirmation that the camera had arrived, but I've had no other updates, despite having told several people that I need the camera for a wedding coming up in April. I've sent several e-mails since and received no reply. And at this rate, I can't even send it back to Pentax to see if the original problem was a manufacturing defect because these jokers have mucked around in it.
Seriously, isn't a warranty supposed to be for peace of mind and ease of ownership? Not so much with this company. Find someone else to provide your warranty...

Amazon had no idea why they were involved but graciously returned all of my money.
If I can't even get the product, I can only imagine how bad it would have ended up for me had I needed to be in further contact with this company.
If you insist on extra protection, then just put your money in a high yield savings account. You'll get a better return than what you're getting with this.
