    With a twist on its classic design, this quality high power microscope comes with both incident (top) and transmitted (bottom) lighting, enabling viewing of both translucent biological samples, and low magnification (4x and 10x objective) viewing of opaque samples. Designed for students of all ages to begin exploring the world of science, this instrument comes with full glass optical elements, a metal frame, 360 degree rotatable monocular head, coarse focusing adjustment, and dual LED lighting powered by either the wall adapter (included), or three AA batteries. It can even take rechargeable batteries, and will charge them when plugged in! Usable for both transparent biological slides and opaque objects (stamps or coins, for example), it offers five magnification settings (40x, 100x, 250x, 400x, and 1000x). This compound microscope is ideal for academic studies in home schooling, as well as elementary through high school, and even hobbyist will enjoy the caliber of this excellent precision instrument.
