This a solid well built vest. Definitely high quality. No sandbag weights to bust and spill sand like you find on cheaper vests. I have mowed my lawn in the vest, ran in the vest and worn the vest while working out at the gym. I have done balance work with the vest as well and I plan on using it for hiking and biking. My thought is carrying more weight will improve my fitness so when I run a 5K or race a local MTB race, I will be better conditioned.
The vest adds another level to your workouts. It is comfortable while wearing but when you take it off, man you feel so light. I love the short/narrow vest because it allows for more mobility. The vest fits snug but not so tight I feel constricted. It doesn't bounce aroud nor does it feel like a torture device. I have noticed that the vest improves my posture even loaded with the full 45 Lb. I can start an activity and not be sweating, then put the vest on and man the sweat flows. I have started activities with the vest on, gotten tired and taken it off and the rest of the activity feels like a cool down. Using a weighted vest is definitely intense. If you are just a casual workout person, it may be too much but in that case, you probably aren't looking at weight vests. The vest is a conversation starter so be prepared for strangers to ask, "whats that thing you are wearing". When you tell them a 45 Lb. vest, they look at you like you are psycho. I'm all about Psycho workouts. I believe the vest will hold up but only time will tell. It is worth saving your money and buying the best vest out there like I did. I'm happy with my vest and love using it. Just be smart, listen to your body and don't overdo it. Start with a little weight and slowly build up. Don't be stupid and let you zeal lead to injury.
I was also very happy with the shipping. The seller attached the liner before shipping both items to us. They arrived way ahead of the estimated delivery and included information about the product and seller. It did arrive via USPS, so we had to pick it up at the post office due to the weight of the package.
