For it's 20th Anniversary, 5 will be released for the first time ever on vinyl! Featuring the No 1 hit “Fly Away”, the record will be 2 LPs pressed on 180g vinyl. The original LP was 13 tracks; this will be the 15 track edition including Lenny’s hit cover of “American Woman,” from Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, and the non-LP B-side “Without You”. 5 was Platinum selling in 5x territories and went Gold in 10x territories ex-US.

Now I will start by saying that I don't like every song. Some of them are a bit out there for me. Like Supersoulfighter, but I digress. Lenny isn't the best lyricist either, but he makes due. I enjoy quite a few of his songs. Especially on this CD.
My favorite part of this CD is that it's not just rock. It's R&B too, which is my favorite genre of music ever. I love when he does R&B. With guitar licks in the mix too, you really can't lose.
My favorite songs are the ones I have on my iPod Touch (in no order):
'Fly Away', 'You're My Flavour', 'Take Time', 'Thinking Of You', 'I Belong To You', 'It's Your Life', Black Velveteen', 'Little Girl's Eyes', 'Can We Find A Reason', 'American Woman' and 'Without You'.
That's more than half the disc!
'Fly Away' is a classic in its own right and is probably my favorite track here. The first time I heard that track on VH1/MTV, I was groovin'. Out of the non-singles, I think my favorite is probably the subdued 'You're My Flavour'. I love that track so much.
And there is my review. The other tracks that I didn't list aren't my favorites. Some are even filler to me. But as a whole, this CD is worth having if you enjoy rock and smooth R&B together.
Strongly recommended. Just don't expect epic lyrics. BTW, I used to own Lenny and own Mama Said. I honestly didn't like Lenny at all, and found Mama Said to be a bit uneven.
4 stars or an 8/10.
