Some time ago we got a cordless phone. It's handset battery died after about a year. We replaced it with another cordless, and after it's battery died (and we couldn't find replacement batteries anywhere) we decided to get a corded phone. It works great, but it came with a really short cord, so we were always stuck to sitting right next to the phone. We found a "long" phone cord (I want to say 14') at a big box store, but it really didn't afford a whole lot more range than what we had. I searched all over for long phone cords, and found this beauty! It is very long, especially when you compare it to what we had. It is 8' long when you aren't using it, and it will comfortably stretch to allow you to talk on the phone up to about 30' away (yes, it's a 50' cord, but that would be if you uncoiled it completely). This allows us to have very good freedom around our first floor, and the corded phone means that we can get and make phone calls when the power is out, and don't have to worry about the handset dying after a few minutes of use. I had wanted to find a 100' coiled cord, but they were hard to find and relatively expensive. As it turns out, a 50' cord is really about as long as we would want in our house, anything longer would lead to tangling issues. No complaints with this cord yet.

The kids don't understand why I won't just use the cordless phone. I love wandering aimlessly around the house visiting with friends and family. The 50ft cord gives me plenty of freedom, yet keeps me tethered to my old-fashioned reality. Psst-my phone still works during a power outtage :)

The 50' Modular handset cord TS-650 arrived quickly and was undamaged. It works well as it should. I would buy it again. The 50' length is very nice. This replaced a 25' handset cord so well that I will always use this 50' lengtgh.

The length is great but with that much cord comes a certain tendency to twist. Had hoped that not having to stretch a shorter cord would mean the end of twisted line. No such luck. Easy enough to untwist but it's still a chore. Even with a twisted knotted cord there is usually enough free cord to move away from the phone base..

Due to the wiring in this house, I needed a long cord, the price was great, since in this area they only carry the 25 foot cord. I am very pleased with this item.

There are a lot of 25' cords out there and I've been using one for years. It often was tiring holding the phone with these cords just 10' away. Even thought the cord is coiled, there is resistence trying to uncoil it. I replaced my cord with this 50' model. When not in use and coiled, it takes up no more room than the old 25' cord. But now when I use the phone, no hassels and no fatigue on long calls.

I debated on this 50 foot cord or a twenty foot.
The 50 foot works great for my mothers wall mount phone. It coils up when you don't need the length, but stretches when you need to walk away from the phone.

Yes some people still like the reliability of a corded phone and in our house a short cord just won't do. I purchased a new wall phone and decided that I would also buy a new cord instead of using the old one. This one does the job and seems to be good quality for the money. No complaints. Performs as expected.
