This is an outstanding book on the 50th anniversary of the International Mathematical Olympiad, the most prestigious mathematics competition for high school students in the world. The authors have put together a most informative package on the past history and the current status of the competition. All participating teams were photographed with their natioinal flags. Complete contest statistics is provided. Of course, there are also the problems. Most valuable are the lectures by six of the most illustrious alumni of the Competition, including Terry Tao and Laszlo Lovasz. It is not a book to prepare for the IMO, but it is a very good read.
