Good product, finish could be slightly better. Do not understand why there is no spanner wrench to tighten nut on the back of the collet. Product works as described, but the wrench to tighten would make it 4/5 stars

I'm not sure how I got along without a set of these for so long. I used the square one today, the day they arrived.
Finish is perfect, collets fit great, the only downer is no spanner wrench included, but that is easy enough to remedy.

Caveat: I just opened the box and I don't have a collet here at home to test the fit.

BUT... These collet blocks are beautifully machined. I was expecting your average import 60 grit ground finish with cut-your-finger sharp edges with burrs everywhere. This is not what I got... I got a pair of blocks with a super fine ground finish and every edge broken, no sharp edges.
The only nit I have on the blocks is the set screw that keeps the collet from spinning is pretty low grade. I've got some hex flats to mill on the end of a 1" bar tomorrow, so I'll be able to report back on operation tomorrow

Just fine for my home shop. It works well using the nuts to tighten the Collet, but the lever is hard to adjust and comes loose without warning. This is OK with me because my small mini mill usually does not have room to set up the lever anyway. You guys with full size equipment trying to do production work may find this a problem

Great quality parts! It is possible the 6 sided collet isn't machined perfectly on center, but I like it. And I can confirm this spanner works well on the rings supplied in this kit.

To expound upon the 6 sided collet box not being on center, I chucked it up in my lathe and the part I machined was wobbly... and more wobbly than the lack of repeatability in my setup. When used vertically, you'll need to support the sides of the machined block to help with precision; the exposed threaded end of the collet isn't a sure thing. A typical work-stop on a vice isn't a sure thing for the hex block, so might should rig a more solid stop that acts across the center of the hex.

Considering the cheap-o "made in China" tooling offered, the quality of these parts were a tier above my expectation.

They function and hold 5c collets. Not super accurate and they are all dinged up when you get them, so you have to stone down the Knicks so they will sit flat. Also crappy packaging. You get what you pay for though.

For me this is very accurate [3 to 6 thousandths of an inch] and I think amazon has the cheapest price. Some on ebay are selling them for $90, and its not like they are more precise or accurate. I think they are all made in china anyway and probably in the same factory.
