I have read a lot of success and motivational books in the past so I am very familiar with this line of work but somehow, this work spoke to me where most informed me. I am not sure if it is because I see myself in the author (minus the six figures) or the simple and direct way he communicates his ideas but whatever it is. I am now reading this book very slowly with pen and a highlighter because I intend to capture all the little details I may have missed the first time.
In summary if this is your first motivational or success book you will find that it is money very well spent. If you have however read a lot of success books in the past and are familiar with the works of Tony Robbins and books like Rich Dad Poor Dad, then this should be a wake up call from your success snooze-feast. For most old timers, the question we need to ask is; Peter followed the principles we all know and became who he is now so why haven't we achieved our wildest dreams yet?, With an open mind it could come to you at any moment while reading the book and the moment you figure out why, you will discover a burst of energy in you to finally make that goal happen.
This book is about improving yourself so you become worthy of and attract success.
I wish I could take this book and go back in time and teach this to my younger self.
Besides learning about how to lead a life with goals, it also teaches some of the smartest strategies for leading a life with no space for mediocrity. How to build relationships, eat well and guard your physical and mental health, energy management, believing in infinite possibilities, taking risks & developing an entrepreneur's mindset. This one it all.
If you are serious about living life to the fullest, living your dreams, you should read this one.
The biggest lesson I learned from it is about living with intention.
Sharing this book with all my well wishers and friends.
-Repetition will beat inspiration (Create a routine, stick to it, and hold yourself accountable if you do not)
-Self accountability (How many times have you used the phrase "I was tired" as an excuse for not doing something? This is not an excuse and is typically a result of your own decisions)
-Reach out to those who already have what you want (Mentors are crucial to success and building relationships is the key to business)
-Achieving goals is ultimately what gives you energy and that feeling of success inside (When you set a goal and reach it, you increase your confidence in yourself and the energy to do more, this is the catalyst to success)
I'm excited to implement all of these changes in my life and more importantly STICK TO IT! Thanks Peter!
My only complaint is the book is does not seem to be formatted well for my kindle/ipad2; in fact it crashed several times forcing me to exit kindle and have to restart. All other kindle books were working fine - so buy a hard copy because this book is worth reading (wish I had, and I may do so in the future).
The book can take you from zero productivity to action as soon as you have decided what exactly it is you want to do.
