I wanted to give a truly detailed experience about the usage of this mixer. I have had this mixer officially for a month now, because I had purchased it on May 21st and now it's June 21st and I have made dough for cinnamon rolls, two cakes ~ a chocolate & a lemon, plus, a fruit dip with this mixer. So, I have used all three attachments and all 6 speeds. ONE QUICK NOTE & TIP: DO NOT WASH THE ATTACHMENTS IN THE DISHWASHER, instead, wash with super cool water, so, that the paint or the material won't peel off. BY THE WAY, make sure to dry off the attachments with a paper towel before and after every use. I know, on the website, it says you CAN wash in the dishwasher, but DON'T. I read the manual and it also says not to as well, but anyway... let's talk about my experience with each baked good:
- The Dough: I enjoyed using the dough hook. It was nice and it did whip the dough around like butter, but make sure you have enough flour. I will admit, you do have to stop and wipe down the sides, in order, to incorporate all of the flour.
- The Cakes: The paddle was nice, but I have to tell the truth & give a thorough review, the mixer paddle never really whips the bottom at all. You have to stop and make sure that the bottom ingredients are being incorporated. You have to OR you will be stuck with lumpy or unmixed batter. So, for example, if you are creaming butter and sugar, before you add your eggs, stop the mixer and using a rubber spatula, fold the butter mixture and you scrape the bottom and the sides with that same rubber spatula, then place the head of the mixer back down and proceed with your recipe. I have to say, also, make sure to slowly add in your flour mixture, please, don't just dump all of the flour in the mixer or you will have lumpy and unmixed batter as well.
The Fruit Dip: I used the whisk attachment and I will admit the speed of 5 and 6 was consistent and it truly did do a great job, however, you have to scrape the bottom and the sides of the bowl or you will be left with lumpy dip with traces of unmixed ingredients.
Overall, I enjoy the stand mixer, however, the attachments don't really get the bottom or cover the circumference of the bowl well, but I enjoy the quiet nature and the sleek design. The mixer is gorgeous to look at and it is a workhorse. I have done it all and I am ready to bake even more bake goods with this mixer.

Another Update--I made Hawaiian rolls, it called for 4 1/2 cups of flour. I did need to scrape the bowl at the beginning(mixture was very thin and runny, there are a lot of liquids that go into this recipe before adding flour), but after mixing the 3rd and 4th cups of flour into the wet indgredients, dough ended up in a nice ball on the dough hook. Recipe instructed to knead for 10 minutes, I did 5 minutes and turned mixer off for 1 minute, then did the other 5 minutes. It may be able to handle a full 10 minutes, but I don't want to push it. There was no sign of overheating after the second 5 minutes. I think with every mixer, no matter how much you pay for it, at some point you need to scrape dough from the sides, so I am pretty satisfied overall with this mixer.UPDATE: I made some rosemary bread and I have to say, I am impressed with how well the mixer did with the dough hook. I know some are saying that they had to scrape the sides and bottom of bowl. I did not have to scrape dough, not even once. It picked up from bottom and sides very well. You can see from the photo(white dough), there is nothing left on the bowl, it's all on the dough hook, that was without using a spatula at all. This was a recipe again with only 2 1/2 cups of flour. I will try a larger batch of cookie or bread dough soon and update on how it does. I mixed dough for about 5- 6 minutes and there was no issue of overheating during that time.Original Review: The first time I used this, I made a simple spritz cookie recipe, it was a pretty thick dough, but only 2 1/2 cups of flour, so not a big batch. At first it wasn't reaching the sides or the bottom of bowl. I gave it another minute and it did start to catch it all. I added pink gel coloring to the dough and you can see that the dough in bowl is all pink, so it did in fact pick up from the bottom and sides , there was no uncolored dough left in bowl.When I was making the cookie dough, it seemed to be struggling a little on the lower speed, but once I put it up a little higher, it seemed to do ok. The whole thing is a pretty decent weight, heavier than one I previously ordered and returned. In my opinion, it's not very noisy, my hand mixer is much louder.The suction cups on bottom are very strong, it was a little tough getting them to release from granite countertop the first time I used it. Now I use a thick bamboo placemat under mixer and it works out well(see photo). The bamboo mat keeps it from moving around and I don't have to deal with the suction cups. I started with a heavier fabric placemat, but that didn't work, it was moving quite a bit. The two attachments I've used so far were easy to lock in place and the bowl is easy to lock and remove.There are a few reasons why I'm not giving it 5 stars at the moment. The lever to lift and lower mixer seems cheaply made and if anything breaks on it, I think this will be the first to go(main concern). The lid takes a little effort getting it on the proper way so that it sits flush with the top of the bowl but the more you use it, the easier it gets. The blinking blue light is annoying, not a big deal, you just have to keep it unplugged when not using it.So far, it works about equal to a friends Kitchen Aid Artisan mixer, I've seen her scrape the sides of the bowl plenty of times where the paddle or dough hook did not reach, and she paid a lot more for it. In my opinion, with most mixers, depending on what you are making, it can't be avoided.
