This is the best watering can design I have ever had. Feels very sturdy has some decent weight. The handles on top and the back side is perfect. The opening to fill it is on the back between the handles makes it really easy to fill it. The sprinkler head works fine for me has a nice easy flow without drowning the plant.. Some reviews say it is too slow takes forever to empty it. I didn't find that to be the case with this one. First thing I did was look at the head to see how many holes may not be opened as much as the rest. There was about 6 on the outside row. Used an upholstery skewer to open these 6 ones slightly to match the rest it works perfect. The treads that attach the head could be tighter fit. Some say it leaks bad. This one has super tiny amount you can see seeping out if I turn it straight down with maximum water force. Don't even notice it unless you are looking for it. If it gets worse with age simply use Teflon plumbers tape on the threads to enlarge it will fix that leak if you have one. With such a great design on the body and then a sprinkler head that don't fit water tight just makes no sense. With all that being said I like it and will be on the look out for a replacement head that fits like a glove. Someone could make them with a 3D printer and list them on Amazon. ;-)

There was an old version of this out in the garage, pretty much the same design with a lighter blue color but it finally gave up the ghost after many years. This seems to be the same watering can from years back, and the rose is great for giving a gentle stream that spreads the water widely. It may waste a bit of water when you are wanting to water only a small flowerpot, but it's the best thing ever for watering a small garden plot. Because it spreads the water so efficiently, you end up using less to wet the same amount of ground as compared to other watering cans. This is the only watering can I know of that can easily be put up against a water spigot sticking out of a house because the fill hole is in the back. The photo of the watering can doesn't show this and the description doesn't really adequately describe it, which is a shame. It shouldn't be so hard to figure out what you're buying because this is the main selling point of why you'd want to buy this watering can. But it has a lot of pluses -- extremely easy fill, handles that make it easy to hold, a 2-gallon capacity, which is always better than 1 gallon, and a rose with a great design that provides a gentle spray that won't crush seedlings. In fact, the only improvement that I can see is that maybe the outflow tube could be a little longer. All in all, a great design with sturdy construction that should last years.

I was going to use this to fill up the bird baths I have around the yard. But this waterer has a horrible amount of plastic pieces that come out with the water. I tried rinsing it several times, but plastic pieces keep floating out with the water. Too bad too, because it's well made.

I'm a small woman, not especially feeble, but close enough to the ground to have trouble carrying some things that don't cause taller people any difficulty. I really appreciate the design of this can. The upper handle is placed and shaped so that the weight of the water is directly below the hand, not offset in some of the weird ways that make other watering cans uncomfortable to carry. And the lower handle is very helpful for directing the spout.

Two gallons in this can (that's almost 18 pounds) don't give me any trouble at all. Another plus: when it's full and I walk around with it, water does not splash out the top. I've had other cans that can't take any kind of bumpy action at all, so I've had to hold them away from my leg while walking or risk getting wet (and I often feed plants with fish emulsion, which is not a nice perfume!).

This can is very easy to fill - again, a thoughtful, practical design. The rose that came with mine works as well as I'd expect any rose on any plastic can to work: no major drips or leaks, and it's a good rose in terms of hole size and overall shape. Given that it's relatively soft plastic, it's a good idea to be gentle and aware when unscrewing the rose and putting it back on; I'd say that about every plastic watering can.

I had one minor quibble when I first unpacked this can: it had a noticeable amount of plastic filings in it which I wish the manufacturer had cleaned up. I'm getting touchy about all the tiny bits of plastic that end up in our garden soil. But from the first time I tried it out, it's been so much better and more comfortable than any of our other watering cans that I'm just grateful every time I use it.
