I listen to a wide range of Christian music from traditional Gospel to R&B, Rock and Alternative. Previously, I'd turned from most hip hop aside from some Conscious Rap because I have always been an active listener and could never get behind the message being delivered even though I loved the beats, bass and catchy hooks.

I consider The 6th a success because Flame MASTERS both:

The Great Deception -- This song begins with the story of Original Sin and utilizes Adam and Eve's fall to mirror our current battle with sin today. Flame takes what some Christians consider an elementary bible story to reflect where our Kingdom stands today. His delivery is better than many prominent preachers.

Try Me -- This is a fun song about Soldiers for Christ being more than conquerors. His delivery is so empowering and the lyrics are so catchy that at the end of the track you exclaim, "Man, I wish the enemy would Try Me right now! I'd go off."

This album is definitely a bridge album that still heavily references The Word. I can't tell you how many times I have heard a biblical reference and turned to that chapter to read more. Almost every song will have you moving. The entire CD is worthy of jamming in the car and even amongst a house of non believers who normally state " I don't like Christian music."

As a long time fan of Flame I bought the MP3 first thing in the morning before my workout. Enjoyed it! Favorite tracks, Scripture Alone, Running (ft. Steve T), Against the World. Frankly the whole album is hot. Please support Christian Hip Hop and down load the album now.

While the beginning seems to lack a continuity in style the voice begins to build a little before the middle. The featured artists, the strength of the lyrics and beats all begins to gel around track 7- Caught in the Lights. Probably the best overall pieces are those that feature V. Rose, and the strength of her performances boost the overall quality of this album impressively. Track 10- Running, will definitely get your head bobbing and the message and music meld well at this point showing that presenting one with strength doesn't compromise the other. Track 14- Christ Alone, is a track that has some enjoyable, quality dubstep drive. I honestly would have been pleased with the album ending there, sort of like the Soul Train line, go out dancing. However, the final track with Decemberadio feels like a throwaway track for both artists that never seems to fully connect, but rather provided an opportunity to broaden the audiences of Flame and Decemberadio. I wish the song was better, because this one rings a little empty, but that may be due to the fact that Shane & Shane teaming up with Tedashii for Finally was a far more entertaining release that came out only a few months prior. Overall, this album is a solid offering from Flame, a real veteran in the "Christian rap game," that seems to have stretched him with some of the new genres and crossover. At times the stretching seems like it will push him too far, but at other times the true artist comes through as we expect and the performance value is stellar.

I'm a huge Lecrae fan and feel him and Trip put out the best Christian Rap out there. Flame, in my book, just added an album to the elite group. The cream of the crop just got thicker with Flame's new release...granted his other stuff has been great but this is the most complete album I've heard from him. Flame grabbed my attention with the very first song and held it till the tracks went silent. I love Flame's delivery, not fast or quick, but deliberate and almost in a way that makes you feel his emotion filled beliefs through his words. You gotta check this album out if you even "kinda" like rap music...or are simply trying to get closer to God. Flame will walk you through some pitfalls and questions Christians face that can't help but assist you in your walk. I pray Flame is gifted from God to keep producing Truth for years to come.

Another great album from Flame. One thing about Flame is he really stresses and teaches Christian theology in a lot of his songs that go beyond just "feel good" Christians songs, which has gotten him into some heat in the past. And while I don't agree with everything he says, I believe that his core message is rooted from sound Christian teachings that we can all stand behind with and has certainly earn my support.

All the songs are good but my Favorite songs thus far are: "Show Out", "Scripture Alone" "Running" "Against the WOrld" and "Christ Alone".

Yet another great album from Flame. If you haven't bought one of his albums yet you definitely need to and give yourself a treat. Theologically sound and spot on. This one has quite a few different styles on it and is an album you can listen to from beginning to end.
