“It’s a snow globe moment. A breath in time that’s no one else’s but his and mine.”
Kyle Rixton is an NBA star in the making. He has scouts watching his every move and a mom who has dedicated her life to controlling his success. When Kyle and his family move to sleepy Jackson, he becomes the talk of the town. No longer in sunny Florida, Kyle isn’t sure what to expect in Jackson, but he definitely didn’t count on falling for Grace Murray.
“Even if it’s not forever, it’s for now. And ‘now’ feels pretty perfect.”
Grace’s life takes a fatal turn and now she’s left trying to piece together events that leave her dying at the hands of the boy she loves. She has just seven minutes. Seven minutes to experience their relationship all over again. Seven minutes to work out how a seemingly beautiful story of young love could end in tragedy. Seven minutes to sift through the lies to uncover an awful truth. As her final moments count down, Grace must find it within herself to believe in love and trust in herself. Before it’s too late.
This story was amazing! I've actually been in a reading funk for a few months. Nothing has appealed to me and then I started this. I devoured it.
First off the premise was awesome. I mean what would your last thoughts be? For Grace they're mostly of Kyle.
But then when it starts getting weird you'll know it, I seriously thought I had gotten an unedited copy. I trudged ahead thinking Tracey knows what she's doing. Does she ever!
Can you imagine trying to figure out why you were murdered without being able to get any new information? I couldn't even figure it out. Not only did I guess wrong I got the reason wrong!
The end, o man. That ending just ripped my heart out.
If you're reading this review I just want to say, I love loved this story and I hope you do too.
We have a pair of teenagers, in love, a bit of alcohol, overly restrictive parents, bad weather, autistic siblings, a terrible past hinted at, jealous ex boyfriends, all-in-all your typical 'coming of age' YA book, but one which is actually more 'Girl On The Train' than 'Hunger Games' or 'Twilight'!
I'm pleased I read it, and I'm happy to recommend it. Great twist/s...
Yes it is YA, but definitely an adult read as well.
A well crafted thriller.
I loved Kyle and Grace, they were so perfect for each other.
The plot was perfectly lined.
The mystery unraveled as the pages turned. It was mesmerizing to read it and I couldn't put it down.
This book is very teenage and YA appropriate. I would recommend it for ages 14+.
Ms. Ward has done it again. I love how pure she writes. She writes with her whole heart and is so generous.
An amazing human being that gives us extraordinary tales.
