The images show screen-shots of a terminal with battery information on a Linux laptop. The design capacity, as reported by the battery itself, is highlighted with a red box (added to the screen-shots by me). The original battery reports a design capacity of 7800mAh. This battery shows its design capacity as 6600mAh.

The seller knows, or should know, that the battery capacity is 6600 mAh, not 7800mAh, and is misleading consumers with false advertising. Shame on them.

I bought this battery because the one my laptop came with was faulty. It works perfect and the item came as described. I also feel that it has a much better battery life than the original battery my laptop came with.

One very important tip is to immediately fully charge the battery when you boot up your laptop so you may not encounter future issues.

BUYER BEWARE: The rubber grip on this battery is different from the MSI Dominator GT70 895 grips on the bottom side of the laptop. The rubber grip on this battery is flat, the laptop grips are rounded and stick out. This is not an issue for the laptop, the laptop still balances fine.

I guess it will work in a pinch and based on the fact these are virtually obsolete and unavailable. Factory battery, when it was originally bought, ran for 3-4 hours. This one only goes for about 2 hrs max.

I bought my battery from ZTHY Tech. At 100% charge it has 2 hours duration on a gaming mode power setup. The MSI OEM battery's duration was about 3.5 hours duration when new. However, I expected lower performance from a generic battery. What bothers me about this battery is that it's marketed as a replacement for the OEM battery but it's not the same dimensions. The ZTHY battery body is ~1-2 mm taller than the OEM battery, so I have to push it into the battery compartment to seat it firmly. I don't have to mash it, but it certainly doesn't lock in naturally. Also, the rubber foot on the bottom of the battery housing is ever-so-slightly taller than the other 4 rubber feet on the bottom of the case, so the laptop now wobbles a little bit if it's not on a flat surface. I would risk trying another generic supplier before buying this battery again.

Length: 0:12 Mins
//Updated 2015/09/08 added stuff and changed the title

I haven't yet looked at runtime/performance, but it's 3-4/5 depending on that
(I'll update, maybe even replace this review)
[I'll be adding some pictures as well]

Initial Thoughts: It's a battery; an MSI BTY M6D clone. (right size, shape, basic surface texture)
**It has a distinctly different rubber pad.**
Not only is it flat, but it's like a hard plastic like rubber
I can't quite describe it and I don't know why it is this way, it may be mainly due to the shape difference

Longer Remarks:
It came in a long ESD bag, About the size you might expect, except it's like almost twice as long as the battery, between two half inch thick foam slabs (that aren't great for anything other than that sort of shipping impact protection) in a box that at about 8.5" [see also the width of a sheet of paper] 2-3 inches longer than it needs to be [though I'm certain it's a standardized box size as I've gotten other things even more poorly packaged in that size box

Update 0: It was fitting fine, I even commented on someone's review that said otherwise but as I was finishing the first version of this review, I'm having doubts and concerns about the health my latches. I don't know if overuse is at play but the latches that you slide to take the battery out are likely the culprit because that end hangs down just a tiny bit when unsupported (which is like all the time because of the feet).

Battery works great, charges as fast as the original and lasts a good amount of time for the price.

I would say that this battery gives about 45 mins less run time than my OEM original battery did at it's peak performance, however, as it is also cheaper than another OEM by about a hundred bucks, I'm good with that.
I'm writing this on my laptop now, with none of the "leaning" that a previous reviewer had complained about. I don't know if they have fixed the footing on the battery since the review, or if they just got a bad battery, but mine sits perfectly level.

Long and short : If you want to save a bunch of money, and don't "need" to have your laptop last a long time off the wall (more than 3 - 5 hours depending on your "power options", get this battery.

It was really hard to find a replacement battery for my MSI GT60, but I am so happy that I found this seller/product. My MSI's battery life just tanked only about a year after I purchased the laptop. I finally decided my battery was no good, but sadly the warranty wore out so I had to go looking for a replacement elsewhere. This battery fits the MSI GT60 and has proven to be good quality so far.
