My greenhouse is sitting inside a patio. In other words, I have exterior home brick walls on three sides and a brick wall on the fourth side with the roof open. I am planning on a wood floor with the framing sitting on brick. We can have standing water in the patio.
Two weeks later: The fabric that is part of the greenhouse appears to be the problem with the leaking. I sprayed it with Scotch Guard and that seems to have helped.
Some people mentioned the zippers being to tight. If that is the case with you, the walls of the green house are to tight. In other words move
one side wall in. The overall circumference is not loose enough and that will place strain on the zippers putting them in a bind.
Others mentioned unzipping the doors when sliding the cover over the frame. That works really well. It is almost impossible to slide the cover
on without unzipping the doors.
Placed a clear plastic tarp over the greenhouse to help preserve the heat within. Did help. We had 22 degree temps here in Houston.
Bought a Dr. Heater greenhouse heater. Works very, very well. It is a true greenhouse heater. It blows warm air to heat the greenhouse instead of hot air. There is a difference. The air out of the heater was maybe about 120 degrees. I could place my hand on the front of the heater without burning. I think that hot air from a typical heater would toast my plants. Dr. Heater kept temps between 42 and 48 degrees on a 22 degree night.
Amazon sells the heater.
~As far as solo assembly ~ I'm 5'2" and with out my 6ft husband it would be very difficult to assemble alone. If you're vertically challenged you'll need a step ladder and muscle.
Great engineering.....it is SO SIMPLE to put together, (with just me & my hubby less than 40 minutes). It seems very solid too.
