Important Driver Installation:
If you get an error while Installing the Drivers press OK, then Exit. Then do the following:
Right-click on your CD Drive and select Explore
For Windows, double-Click on the application file in this folder (the file name atarts with "IS_AP_STA_RT2870......) then follow the installation instructions.
For Mac and Linux open their folder and then run the application.
Or you can got to the manufactures website, then click on "Support" and on the left side click on "Divers" and download.

Still planning on using this to drive a high gain directional antenna, so that my money isn't wasted.
I just wish that they did not falsly advertise the TX power.

Fast forward to a few minutes ago when I attempted to do the same thing. I connected dongle and antenna, connected to to my PC. It appears that I was connected my wireless network, but I couldn't reach anything. So I decide to disconnect it and check the wire... broken... it's now stuck in the dongle and I'm out $22.99 after one use.
Pros: No configuration required. I simply plugged it in and it was recognized right away. Movable antenna makes it easy to position it in a comfortable position (I am using it for a VM on my Microsoft Surface Pro 2).
Cons: The only complaint I have is that it can be bulky sticking out of the side of my surface. I would probably go with a cable attached option if I could purchase again. I normally use my laptop on a table or desk.
