This is where the back clip of the other comes into play. For me, it keeps the controller flush with the desk while my Note 10+ can stay with the controller/base, so I can type and go back to playing the game.
I could excuse the top-heavy nature if the base had a back clip. Without a back clip, there's no good functionality to this without "trying" to make it work for my life. I might as well use the one that I linked. I doubt this will be fixed, and while this isn't breaking the bank in cost, I may have to modify it by adding my own back clip, which shouldn't be needed. I may just return it, keep playing with the one I linked, and when the new Xbox controllers come out look for one that fits it.
This is the first non-game item I've ever "preordered" and to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. Two stars. I anticipated something better than what I easily paid 1/3rd less for. It works so I can't go to one-star, but even the Switch has a back clip, no matter how worthless it may actually be.
At first I thought it was broken or something because I unscrewed it and couldn't get it to move, it's because it has some clickyness to it and is stiff at first so you'll need to use just a bit of pressure to get it to move. After this initial stiffness it works great so maybe it's to keep it from getting damaged in shipping.
300$ or 15$? Oh, but wait, way better battery, screen, specs, utilization, functionality. A FRIGGING HEADPHONE JACK.
So why are people still buying the Switch? Exclusives? I'll pass and spend my 275$ difference on steam games to play, thanks.
