Ok - been a field provider and instructor for 30 years - and the professional "butterflies" that live in the guts of all FD/EMS/LE personnel actually stirred with that initial call. I will be very intrigued to see the character development, but the caliber of the story is already starting at a high bar. I really like the fact that 911 dispatch is being included in the story line, (McNuggets? Really?) Lots of folks tend to dismiss their contributions in saving lives. Definitely a show worth checking out to decide for yourself.
I was so excited when this show started advertising last year. It has started out pretty slow, most of the good bits advertised happened in the first episode. I'm a sucker for rescue scenes, so I'm really hoping the show picks up the pace. Last episode when the guy was thrown from the bouncy house they showed the two firefighters repelling then suddenly the victims were on stretchers. C'mon gotta make things a little more interesting than that! I'll keep watching to give it a chance but hopefully it gets a bit more realistic and a bit more action packed.
For a short story series, this was very good. The irresponsibility of the rookie was a bit much - I hope no professional acts like he did - on the job no less. But it was very fast moving and exciting! If it was like this in real life, everyone needs a big raise in salary!
