From the back cover: This volume is the final report issued from the International Hearings on the Events of September 11, 2001, held in Toronto, Canada. Over the four days of the Toronto Hearings, noted authors and scientific experts presented the best evidence gathered in the previous decade to a panel of distinguished individuals whose opinion on the strength of the evidence should carry considerable weight in the public sphere. The four panelists were: Ferdinando Imposimato, former Senior Judge and Honorary President of the Supreme Court of Italy; Herbert Jenkins, Professor Emeritus of Psychology at McMaster University, educated at Oberlin College and Harvard University; Richard Lee, Professor Emeritus of Anthropology at the University of Toronto and Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, previously positions at Harvard, Rutgers and Columbia University; and David Johnson, Professor Emeritus of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Tennessee and former President of the U.S. Fulbright Association, educated at Yale and Cornell. Much of the evidence these panelists heard and questioned during the Toronto Hearings is presented in the opening chapters of this report. Following the evidence, each panelist has presented his findings, conclusions and recommendations based on the evidence. Panelist David Johnson noted that much of the evidence, “ignored by the mainstream media, cries out for a wider audience and a rigorous but fair review by independent authorities,” and that a “new, honest investigation conducted with subpoena powers should be empanelled to look into whether such crimes might have been committed.” Herbert Jenkins found that previous U.S. government investigations of 9/11 “were designed not to understand what actually happened, but rather to defend the official account, which they did by selective omissions and distortions of the evidence” and believes that “without a more open government, [there is] no way to repair the profound distrust of government that now cripples democracy in America.” Richard Lee said that the Toronto Hearings were “extraordinarily effective in presenting carefully compiled scientific evidence that casts serious doubt on the veracity of the official story” and was “impressed by the seriousness of the witnesses, their willingness to submit their evidence to scientific scrutiny and evaluation, and their challenging the authors of the official story to refute the evidence presented.” Ferdinando Imposimato held that the best course forward to achieve justice is to “submit the best evidence concerning the involvement in 9/11 of specific individuals to the International Criminal Court Prosecutor and ask him to investigate” and names potential targets of the ICC investigation. The opinions of the Toronto Hearings panelists make a clear and unmistakable case that the official account of 9/11 is false, and that the only way to realize truth and accountability is to tear down the wall of secrecy and lies that has been erected by the United States government around the events of 9/11.

A very strong collection of essays from the leading figures in the 9/11 truth movement, and a good look at our current knowledge about the case. Many of the Toronto presentations can be viewed on YouTube for free, despite the claim by official apologists that 9/11 skeptics are only in it for the money.

The only essay that I felt was a bit weak was the one by Lance deHaven-Smith about State Crimes Against Democracy. He leaves out many state crimes, and his chart on page 88 listing them by decade actually shows none occurring during the 1990s. This ignores Oklahoma City, Waco, the first World Trade Center bombing and others. He also leaves out the Martin Luther King assassination, the USS Liberty attack and many more from previous decades.

This volume is outstanding due to its presenting numerous views of experts analyzing 9/11 from many points of view. In terms of continuing themes or emphases throughout the presentations most analysts agreed a new investigation is needed (an investigation of previous investigations as seriously biased could be part of that).

Panelist Imposimato, one of the four panelists overseeing this "international hearing," states the matter should now go to the ICC. The evidence is overwhelming that the official conspiracy theory so far, confining itself to 19 hijackers, is inadequate.

I had some problems understanding one of the other panelists, Herbert Jenkins, who seemed to be arguing that because the evidence presented did not answer all the questions in this highly complex matter, nor indicate just who was responsible, the task of convincing Americans that a new investigation is needed is not likely to succeed.

My impression in reading the study was that it intended to point to problems in the evidence given for the official theory, and show the need for further, scientific, impartial, and thorough investigation. I did not expect to see all questions answered.

It does not require going far into skepticism about the official story, as presented here, before thinking a new study is surely required and compelling. Simply begin with the collapse of the Towers and Building 7. The case that these buildings were demolished is overwhelming. With that concluded there must have been a separate force, distinct from the hijackers, who arranged these demolitions. And who would that be?

Unless these buildings were designed to demolish on impacts of various sorts when they were constructed, some agent must have set them up for 9/11. Was this the same hijackers (assuming there were hijackers) who learned how to fly piper cubs during the preceding months? The argument for demolition is overwhelming that something is direly wrong with the official view.

My husband is a professional pilot and flew the same type of plane and knew it was not possible for the accident to happen as it was told. Plus, you could look at the so-called remains and they were out of proportion with the accident site. The FBI had removed all the evidence on the scene including the soil. What was wrong with that picture. This book gives more information on what happened to the buildings in the city. Very good read.

I am impressed with the rigorous adherence to accepted scientific principles as the events of 9/11 were investigated. I especially liked how the PUT options were shown as basically impossible without fore knowledge, how the military grade nanometer-sized thermite and thermate was shown to exist in the dust on 9/11 and details on Building 7 that make it impossible to believe the building simply dropped in free fall on 9/11 due to fires.
