Product Description

The sleek elegance of modern European design is embodied in the Trinsic kitchen faucet in Arctic Stainless for a suave, urban kitchen style. First let me start out by saying I sometimes wish I could go back to the days when internet was not available and the only 'research' I did was reading the information on the boxes at the store. With that being said, I know I spent way too much time of my life reading reviews on pull down faucets and going to Home Depot and Lowe's multiple times to test out various features. It came to a point I had to hide what I was doing from my husband because he could not believe that I had not picked a faucet yet. I just really want to get the best product for our money and needs.

I narrowed down my search quickly to just Delta faucets because they are the only brand that has a Magnatite docking system so the faucet head stays in place. From other reviewers, a big pet peeve was that the faucet heads of various brands eventually hung down and would not stay securely docked. I was standing in Lowe's staring at all the faucets and an employee asked if I needed help. I said no, I have already done so much research, just trying to narrow it down. He said, well I will offer this one bit of info, go for the delta with the magnet because I just installed this one (referring to a moen) for my mother and the faucet head constantly hangs down. I just installed this faucet on 12/29/13 and have only been using it for 2 days, but I LOVE the magnet docking system!!

You may be saying, why is she writing a review after only 2 days? I am just so excited about this faucet and could certainly comment on installation, look, size, and function. Of course, I will update this review after months and maybe years regarding durability. I do dislike when people give a 4 or 5 star rating but say, "I haven't used it yet, but it looks like a great product, can't wait to try it". Really?

I purchased this faucet to replace an old model that was no longer in production. Overall I'm very pleased: it's heavy, solidly built, and the pull-out mechanism feels like it will last for many years. I'm posting this review because I was unable to find a description of the "Arctic" stainless finish when shopping, and I wanted to share with other shoppers that it is is blue-ish when compared with "regular" stainless steel finishes (e.g., on my sink, air gap, soap dispenser, stovetop, hood, fridge, etc). It's not a huge difference - my husband didn't notice - but it is visible enough to me that I considered returning the faucet (ended up deciding to keep it because of the excellent quality and price though).

Update, October 2014:

My faucet just sprang another leak. It's the same type of leak. When we discovered water coming out from the sink cabinet (enough to easily soak a rug), I pulled all my household materials from there and started investigating. By this point in time, I knew exactly what to look for. The chrome water valve was wet and the outside of the gray faucet supply line was wet; water was running down the line. It goes back up to the faucet, just like it has already leaked twice before (three times, maybe...can't remember). This happened on a Friday evening. I didn't call Delta Customer Service over the weekend (come to find out, they are open nearly all day on Saturday for phone calls and most of the day on Sunday by email or chat box (although I never saw that). I waited until Tuesday to call (forgot on Monday). I spoke with a lady about the problem. She had my same information and it took less than three minutes to confirm they were sending a new part. I have been without cold water (using shut-off the valve) since the end of last week. Now it will be 7-10 business days before I will get it (predicting sooner, maybe). That's a long time to go without one side of my faucet...although it's much less inconvenient than missing hot water for dishes/dishwasher, so I'm ok. I inquired about the possibility of getting two parts at once, that was if one were to go bad and start leaking everywhere, I'd have another on-hand. They won't/can't give two replacements, though. This means I will be out of water for nearly 1.5-2 weeks each time. This customer service rep I spoke with on the phone wasn't quite as apologetic as the last (see below). That is only a disposition thing, though.

So all in all, would I change my 4-star rating to a lower one? I don't think so.

Although we've only had this faucet for 3 months, we are now Delta converts. This is the best kitchen faucet we've owned. The pull out nozzle comes out smoothly AND goes back easily, thanks to the magnetic fitting. The flow of the water is excellent and the long reach of the spout perfect for our KOHLER K-3377-NA Swerve Self-Rimming Kitchen Sink, and the spray function toggles on and off easily. A sturdy faucet, better than faucets we've had from Danze, Moen, or Grohe. Looks modern and simple.

I had this faucet installed 6 months ago. I had an experienced plumber install it and he said it was tricky. I had him take out as much of he could of the flow restrictor, so it has nice water pressure.

Pros: This faucet looks nice, great pull-out-hose feature, I like the switch between regular faucet & spray, easy to turn on and off when you have icky hands full of whatever.

Cons: A month or so after we had it installed there was about a week when it wouldn't stay on spray or regular flow; it was sort of a combination of both. Then it just stopped happening for some reason and was back to normal. Then after a couple months it was hard to turn the faucet on and off and move the lever from cold to hot and back; WD-40 didn't do any good. Then it was fine again. Then 6 months after installation (that would be now) we noticed a leak under our sink. We called the plumber back out and he noticed the leak was coming from the faucet. See picture--the leak is coming from that ribbed cylindrical piece where all the hoses are gathered.

I called the Delta number listed on the limited warranty that came with the faucet and customer service could not have been more helpful. They're sending out a new faucet. But now I have to call the plumber back out and pay him again to install the new faucet. And the base of my sink cabinet is now badly warped particle board. And now I have to worry about whether or not the new one is going to leak eventually, too. Ugh.
