"I couldn’t recommend this more highly. Scott explains the basic of investing in simple English. It’s solid advice; the kind you rarely get from the talking heads on TV, radio, and the rest of the media. Scott backs it all up with good solid research; this is not his opinion, it’s facts, but presented in a way that your Grandmother could understand." - Dr. Barry H. Kaplan, EA, CFP, Chief Investment Officer, Cambridge Wealth Counsel

Most financial/investment writers and practitioners tend to complicate and obfuscate in order to make themselves look smarter than their readers or clients. On the other hand, Scott cuts through the mystery and voodoo of personal financial planning and simplifies. He uses a breezy, conversational style that makes it appropriate for everyone from novices to guys like me (I picked up some great stories to use with clients).
I couldn’t recommend this more highly. Scott explains the basic the basics of investing in simple English. Most readers should be able to implement Scott’s recommendations at an absurdly low cost and outperform most professionals. Get this book and read it! Then do it!
99 Minute Millionaire: The Simplest and Easiest Book Ever On Getting Started Investing And Becoming Rock Star Rich
He gives good sound advice for investing and references good sources. He reminds the reader that being average (in investing) is a good thing overall. He stresses the need to look forward and let your money compound over time. Finally, the author tries to steer the reader from paying too much for investing in the form of fee traps of certain investment vehicles.
I bought this book to see if the advice is grounded in sound logical advice to recommend to students and young adults just starting off saving money and understanding how to invest their excess. I am also a firm believer in the steps of Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover and staying out of debt using common sense knowledge. This book lived up to my concerns and am recommending it to many others.
As soon as you "open" the book, you find several valuable bonuses right upfront that themselves are worth getting the book. If you're not convinced by reading the reviews, check out his free Financial Rock Star podcast, which is also chock-full of information, tips, and tools. This is a man who takes his research seriously (but expresses it with fun)! Unlike many financial authors,Turner has nothing to sell (other than the priceless information and advice packed into this volume!), so the reader doesn't feel like anything is left out, as if the book is merely a strategy to sell you a course or workshop or that there's another "level" you have to go to in order to make use of the information offered. Of course, there's always more to learn, but what you need to begin Is all right there!

The method is well argued with a great deal of evidential support. It would be good if you read this book in your late teens or early 20s.
