When it arrived I was immediately impressed. It looked just like the picture here on Amazon. Well packaged & healthy. Many months later its still going strong. It even grew enough so that I had the opportunity to break out the toenail clippers & have some fun. If you're into that sort of thing, this is a great little tree. If not it makes a great gift. Either way I think you'll be happy.
Two years later & the same little tree is still going strong.
Four years later sadly I must report my favorite little tree is no more. She began drying out over the Winter, no amount of watering seemed to help. I attribute this to low humidity & it possibly being too close to the baseboard heating. Who knows though? *shrug* I can't really complain. For the price I payed I received many years of enjoyment. Will probably buy another come the holidays.
My advice would be to leave it alone for the first few months before starting to prune/wire it up. As for watering, we thoroughly water them as soon as the soil seems to be completely dried out. We didn't want to over water them. We keep them on a sunny window ledge. Obviously when there are many sunny days in a row, we end up watering them more often then when it's damp and cool out. You just have to check on them every couple of days when it's sunny, and once a week or so when it's not sunny. That's about it. We haven't fertilized them or anything yet, though I may start giving them a little Miracle Grow once a month or so. I know there's special bonsai fertilizer but hopefully I can make due with Miracle Grow or equivalent. Anyway, bottom line I would highly recommend getting a bonsai from this company. We have had countless pleasure from taking care of and admiring our little trees!
Anyways I've had it about two weeks and the bit of yellowish color and dead looking parts are gone(there was a slight yellow hue on a bit of it). It's just been growing really great. I just hope I can keep it alive and make it pretty. I sort of wish I could upload a picture so everybody could see what mine looks like. Anyways, if you are thinking about buying a tree from them don't worry or anything. They've got good trees and you won't regret it.

Well packaged. Definitely doesn't look like the picture. It doesn't look "beautiful", but it's a bonsai and dies just fine.Published 20 days ago by Utah reviewer

I wish I could give 0 stars. These "plants" are twigs from a larger tree. The first one that ordered was broken on arrival. Read morePublished 1 month ago by amol

Tree came packed pretty well - though mine was dry, and I'm afraid it might have set one of the branches up for some serious dehydration down the line. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Anna B.
