Okay I'll be honest the third party shipping on this was awfullllllllllll however .... absolutely worth the wait. I love this cute little guy. He goes just about anywhere on my house and looks great. For now I parked him in my bathroom and we talk during the shower.

Survived shipping shock with immediate attention

My little guy arrived in a bit of shock, which is not surprising after being in the dark for a few days in a box. They packed him in a gel water so the roots were moist. He sucked up all the water immediatly, so watch that. I left him in his gel with a mix of new room temperature water for a week. New buds and leaves started to show up and are doing nicely and the roots are not as limp or mushy. I am nursing this little guy back from a bit of trauma, but he arrived in good enough shape to do so and is doing well. He was a little yellow, but is a nice, strong fellow that is looking very nice from immediate tlc and attention.

First of all, the plant came in the mail quickly and was packaged well. Upon opening it, I was pleasantly surprised that the bamboo itself looked nearly identical to the one in the stock photo. In the vase, it sits about 12" high. The only negatives I have are the vase itself and the lack of care instructions. Supposedly, care instructions are provided with it but none were found anywhere in the box. A quick Google search made that a non-issue. However, the vase leaves a lot to be desired. It is closer to a mahogany brown than the darker brown shown in the photo and the paint job doesn't even reach the base in some areas. Additionally, the plastic vile that you place the bamboo in doesn't sit flush with the top of the vase, leaving an exposed rim and giving it a cheap appearance. It will do for now but I'll have to go out and purchase a new vase. That is the only reason I didn't give the item a full 5/5 rating. I'll update if anything unsuspecting occurs.

The bamboo arrived in perfect, FRESH condition and the vase and base are simply, stylish and quite heavy and unique.
I have since placed my lucky bamboo in the vase with enough room to cover the roots and - Viollà- either in a sunlit or even a bathroom with no windows in it (the way I do), and it's perfectly fine. Growing beautifully with new leaves beginning to sprout!
I love it and would definitely buy again for other rooms. (BTW, the base could be easily painted to a different color to match your decor. It's s nice smooth surface that would not need sanding and priming - so great!)
Put some tranquility in a spot to enjoy! By the bath or kitchen sink; on your desk at the home or work office; where you read or relax and watch TV - anywhere you'd like a splash of color with real, continuity growing bamboo!!

Like others have said, this item was very well-packed, the bamboo shoots appear healthy, and the vase isn’t nearly as nice as it appears in the picture. The plastic looked cheaper than I anticipated. If this is going to be something people will see up close, I wouldn’t recommend it. It is going to be across the room or up on a shelf, it is a decent value.

This item really exceeded my expectations. How many are comfortable buying a plant online? Not me to begin with.. but once I went ahead and ordered it I had my fingers crossed. The plant came out of the box fresh and lively. If people are wondering how the plant will do on it's journey to your home, don't loose hope. The seller actually had the plants roots covered in a gel like substance that keeps the plant alive and well. I believe it serves as food source and to help keep the moisture in it's journey.

Once arrived I took it out of box and (the holder is separate from the plant out of the box) and took the rubber band that supports the polyethylene bag that wound around the plant roots and stuck it in the holder. So far it's living well and beautiful. It receives a ton of appreciation form all the visitors. Beautiful item.

Dislike-no spiral, looks like it's about to die,came late,vase has imperfection on one side, not sure if it suppose to be wood but def not wood. One bamboo out of the 3 super small. Late delivery my be a reason for half dying look.
