Each one tells a story.
While I love all of them, I'll list three that are special favorites of mine.

TOM AND EDNA EARLE
GOODBYE, MY CHILDREN
Congratulations, Ms. Swift. Well done.
Rising Star Reviews
I was particularly pleased with “Tender – (for Naomi Stuart)” which is formulated with a feeling and touch that can only be experienced in reading the work.
She handles the often-difficult task of Haiku with a deftness that speaks of her years of experience and, I’m sure, would be appreciated by the most rigorous of Japanese craftspersons, as in “Icy-winged snowbird…”.
“White Stone Crosses” tells a tale of a tragedy in a way no newspaper report or other means of portrayal could have done, leaving one with distinct and almost disturbing images of the horrified driver, the children, and those left to mourn.
There is, too, a touch of irony shimmering hazily almost on comedy, as in “Afterthought,” whilst a mother’s mourning of the hoped-for but unfulfilled plans of her childrens’ younger years comes through simply but well-told in “Goodbye, My Children.”
Linda’s use of photographic images to separate poem from poem is skilful, the scenes appropriate to each setting, and add to the overall charm of her work.
Thank you, Linda, for your book; I shall keep it in my collection with pleasure.
