Seting in construction of railway between Qinghai and Tibet, this film starts with Yu Mingyuan, a commander of this railway project construction, focusing the three generations who devote themselves to fulfilling the dream of building Qingzang railway. The exciting, touching passion and persistent, heroic "Spirits between Qinghai and Tibet" from builders are highly praised.
It's hard to believe Feng Xiaoning has no formal training as a film director, but instead studied art direction at the Beijing Film Academy. Yet much of his work can be purchased alongside greats such as Zhang Yimou and Steven Spielberg at sites like Amazon.com. They can even be watched in the same evening, on the very same home theater system (or on your computer as I do). A Railway In the Cloud(s) is no exception.
