An informative and deeply moving biographical play written and performed by Miss Lee, who portrays Rachel Carson in her late years as she tells the story of her early love of writing, her discovery of science, her reaction to the impact of "Silent Spring", her love of and caring for her family and her own struggles with the cancer which eventually killed her. Too short!

This is a very good performance of an actress portraying Rachel Carson, author of Silent Spring, being interviewed. It is thoughtful and you feel that she is having a visit with you. It is full of surprises about the life of Rachel Carson and the interviews with real family and friends at the end seals the enjoyment of this quiet gem.

A thoughtful look at the DDT controversy from the point of Ms. Carson's personal life. It deals with Carson's desire to write, how she digressed along the way, how she realized her goal, and the impact Silent Springs had on her personal life. Ms. Carson, in a final interview, states that if we never lose the child's sense of wonder in the universe, we would be more appreciative and protective of the world around us.
