A.J. Ponder's popular children's stories include, Wizard's Guide to Wellington & the Sir Julius Vogel Award winning short story Frankie and the Netball Clone, and many other stories and plays published in Australia and New Zealand by various School Journals as well as The Great Weta Robbery, written with Peter Friend and published by Gilt Edge.
A.J. was heavily involved in the production of the Sir Julius Vogel Award winning anthology Lost in the Museum (2014), not only does it contain 2 1/2 of her stories, but also liaising with Tui Merriweather's character, who remained elusive and inscrutable right down to the last minute!
A.J. Ponder also writes stories for adults, Dying for the Record, was a runner up for Arc and Tomorrow Projects' competition, "The Future Always Wins" and she also has stories in the horror anthologies, "Baby Teeth," and "Disquiet." She was the co-winner of NZSA NorthWrite 2013 Collaboration Contest with "Ahi Kā" (Prose and interwoven sonnet, Truth Lies in Fire and Dies in Flame)
Writing is about fun. Reading doubly so.
