-3 speed settings. I keep it on L (low) all the time. The M and H are great but I don't need that much power. I bought the version of this multifan that comes with the "overclocked" AC adaptor for the USB plug. Makes the fans run a bit faster than if they were plugged into a standard USB port. Go fig I didn't that, it's definitely powerful enough without that. No matter what speed you choose, it's always whisper quiet. Literally, you can barely hear it across the room. The switch controls both fans at the same time. No independent control. You can also use the switch to turn the fans off.
-You can daisy-chain multiple USB fans together from this brand. Don't need to, but this set is wired with a female USB connection for another set. The fan switch control would control ALL fans at the same time.
-There is roughly 44 inches cable length between the 2 fans.
-There is roughly 6 ft of cable between the splitter for the fans, and the USB power connection.
-The rubber feet can be removed if desired. You have to unscrew the fans first, and then you can take the screw out of the rubber.
-When you remove the rubber feet, this removes the fan grills as well. You can remove the fans on both sides. If you don't like the grills, you can replace them with something else. Standard 120mm covers/grills work on these just fine.
-You can re-orient the fan power cord to the intake or outtake sides. There's a little groove for that.
-It's about 5 inches wide by 5 inches tall. The fan itself is 1 in thick. but the grills add about half an inch more, and the rubber feet another half inch. See images for more detail. These are 120mm fans through and through, with a thick grill.
-If you need to rewire these for any reason, they are simple two wire fans with a black (ground) and red (power) cord.
Currently, these bring my temperatures down from 81-83 degrees in the cabinet to about 73-75, depending on the day. Room temperature is usually around 73, so it does a great job keeping things almost at room temp, just on Low power!
UPDATE: So for another application, I bought a seperate 120mm AC Infinity fan to add onto this. If you are planning on linking / daisy chaining more fans, the fan/controller with it's wire/speed control closets to the outlet (lowest in the chain) controls ALL later connections. What does this mean? If your first fan is set to Medium, all subsequent fans can only go to Medium. For me, I had to set the first fan to High, then my subsequent to Medium for my needs to get the airflow right. Small issue, and of course since it's USB connections you can always just get USB outlet adapters to get around the issue. No star deduction as I had a small feeling that happens.
These fans and my AC Infinity blower are awesomely very quiet, not silent and not unheard especially if they were in a quiet room, but very quiet. Having have built custom cooling for my older AV cabinets and PCs for years and now needing a custom cooling solution for my home network gear yet not wanting the 80mm PC fan screen, and 120mm PC fan whispers, I stumbled across this brand and some solutions others had employed for their network gear. I was attracted by the PWM (DC power equivalent of VFD for AC) since I was very interested in a high, yet controllable, flow and this brand delivered: flow, control (O/L/M/H or optional controller), quiet. I am not disappointed.
I have been studying and comparing this brand and their components and systems for nearly a year and I could not find a reasonable product on the market in the performance and price point as these. And, while they were not a perfect mounting fit for my needs, I was able to easily devise a secure, reliable and effective mount for each.
Note: the twin fans have a limited, max distance placement due to being factory wired to the same harness. Not a problem in "as intended" installs, but definite consideration for custom uses. The equipment mine are mounted to are just under 12" fan-center-to-center and still have slack in the harness.
9-days of use and counting summary: my equipment is running FAR cooler than it ever has, and there seems to be far fewer (heat related?) Gremlins in my wired and wireless networks. Very Satisfied and KICKING myself for not getting sooner. Already planning to now install controller, and will be buying more ACI cooling equipment VERY soon to show my AV equipment the same love. Loving it.
I am using them for an odd purpose. I affixed them to an Antminer S9 mining rig that is submerged in mineral oil for cooling. The fans turn slowly in the oil, but it is sufficient to circulate the cooled oil past the hot hashing cards. It has been running nonstop without any problem.
Note: I did accidentally unplug these fans, and the temperatures of the mining rigs skyrocketed. This just proves how valuable the fans are to my design.
As far as their intended purpose of cooling gaming boxes, they are very well made with thick rubber feet to both hold them down and quiet them. They spin very well and quietly in the air.
I run the fans on the highest setting about 3 meters away from me and barely hear them over the ambient noise in my living space. What I do hear is a soft noise and in no way intrusive. Already plan on using some of these in my next build for that little bit of extra cooling.
10/10 will buy again.
Please give me a thumbs up if this was helpful.

One neat feature is that there is a USB end attached to the cables going to the fans so you can connect another set together. I have two sets connected together with 3 fans behind the TV where my electronics are mounted and one on top of the PVR, all connected to one smart plug..
Because these fans run quiet, (They are quieter than the old computer fans I had installed before.), they will give up some fan speed and airflow. However; they do the job for me as they cool my electronics mounted in free air not in a cabinet. The feet are made of a very soft rubber that almost sticks to the surface they sit on.
If you plug these fans into 120 volts instead of a USB receptacle, you will get a slight boost in speed and airflow, something to mention here.
The comparison I can make is fuel economy on a car vs a truck. You don't buy a large truck for the fuel economy, at least I don't. The same a be said of the trade off for airflow vs noise. If you want airflow, you are going to sacrifice a bit of noise.
Their customer service information is printed all over the printed matter in the package. I called the number for a chat and had a courteous rep in a few seconds, once past the normal phone options recording.
I am very happy with my purchase.I ordered two more single fans with thermostats this morning.
My amp always ran super hot and apparently they say this is normal and to go ahead and leave it on 24/7.
With this little fan setup I run on lowest setting and my amp is cool to the touch. It has 3 higher speed settings; do not require as setting 1 works perfectly.
You can either plug in to wall or into any USB port, switch is in the wiring harness near to the fan, both are connected to this main wire... plus you could buy more and daisy chain.
Very very happy with shipping and product.
Can also be used as a bedside fan for anyone looking for an extremely quiet fan with a light breeze, and with the added flexibility of 2 fans.
- quiet, even on the highest setting
- low power consumption with dc motor
- great build quality and packaging
- able to daisy-chain up to 6 fans
- rubber feet are soft and grippy
- will definitely keep devices cool
- 6.5 volt adapter can be used on other things as well, just make sure you don’t burn out 5v motors after prolonged use
- for $35 cdn and free 1 day shipping I’m very pleased, would buy again and recommend
- fast shipping and nice packaging
- the 6.5v adapter makes the fans loud enough to hear on the highest setting but the room has to be very quiet to hear them. Overall still very quiet
- would be nice if the cord between the 2 fans was the standard 3 feet but the 2.5 feet is still very good and accommodating without leaving too much extra cable laying around, but sometimes limiting based on the path/bend of the cable
- not really any cons though, overall a great product and company so far
5 stars. Would recommend.
