Can’t beat it for the price. My Sony a6000 has this plugged into it 24/7 as I use it for live streaming and the battery level on my camera always says 95% when it’s turned on. Doesn’t get overly hot, and way more convenient than switching out batteries every hour when doing video work. Looks like you can even get adapters for other cameras as the false battery on the end is a detachable cable itself.

I do buy some non-OEM stuff on occasion and this was one of them. I will not kid anyone I had a lot of reservations about plugging this into a new camera and was hesitant ordering this unit. Due to COVID though the factory OEM unit was out of stock with no delivery date and I needed to get a webcast moving along.
I have about 35 hours on the power supply so far and not a single issue other than user error, I didn't push the powerpack in far enough for the clip to catch the power block.
If I have any issues I will update this review and let you know.

I wanted to use my Sony A6000 as a webcam (using a video "capture card" device), and my son is getting into Lego stop motion videos. Problem is that the Sony "W" battery is super low capacity, and it's super inconvenient to swap out a battery in the middle of either a Zoom call or a stop-motion video.

Unlike my Sony A7III, with its awesome "Z" battery, the A6000 always goes into USB mode when you attach it to a USB cable, even if that cable is only coming from a charging pack or wall charger.

This little gadget is the silver bullet for your power issues. Dummy battery pops right in, a little flap sealing the battery compartment swings away so the cord can pass through, and you have never ending power.

Add in the fact it's 75% cheaper than the official dummy battery, and this thing is a total bargain.

This thing works awesome and I am glad I got it since its a fraction of the price for the name brand chargers!
I have a a6400 that I use to stream on twitch anywhere from 2 - 6 hours and I had not had one issue with it overheating my camera or it not working.

The battery percentage drains but stops around 40-50 percent so DO NOT FREAK OUT IF IT DRAINS!!!

The only real issue i have is sometimes if i would the dummy battery chord around it tends to slightly disconnect itself enough where it will no longer provide power to the camera. So it usually powers back on immediately or I just have to reseat the dummy battery.
Other than that this thing is great!

pros:
- powers camera while leaving usb port available for use with intervalometer or for tethering to laptop.
- good for time lapses, astrophotography, or other situations where you will need camera to be powered on for several hours but don't want to ruin shot by having to change battery.
- long adapter cable so converter box will not be dangling from your camera if you use a tripod

cons:
- your camera is no longer weather resistant when using this instead of regular battery
- although your camera won't shut down or lose power, it may still tell you that there is a decreasing percentage of battery or even tell you that there is no battery life left. This is just confusing/ unnerving more than anything.

Yay, this is pretty cheap and works perfectly on my Sony a 6500 and A7Rii. I shoot school plays which can last 2 hours or more, and have been using battery packs to try to last the whole show, but the battery will still drain when supplemented with USB power, just at about half speed, so I'd still have to change batteries in both cameras at least once when filming in 4K.
This solves that problem, and I think my A6500 will have less heat issues as the dummy battery insert/unit stays cool. Some people mention that there battery indicator keeps going down (99, 98, 97...), mine stays at 100%. Don't think it really matters because this thing works perfectly. Also, the cord is pretty long which is a plus. There's three sections of cord, and you get a good 10 foot or so out of it. I'm going to buy another one for my a7Rii. Great peace of mind when you have an outlet close by. I can't think of a single draw back. The battery pack has a pull away connection between it and the transformer piece, which I think is great as it would separate there before yanking on the battery really hard if someone tripped over it. I think of that as a fail safe.

If you own any camera that is compatible with this cord, what are you waiting for again?! LOL. This cord is a timesaver for a full day of shooting. No more battery replacing! I've shoot with this for 6 hours straight and my camera (Sony a6400) never overheat or exceed "warm" at any point. When plugged into the camera, the battery life reads at 95-97% which isn't of any significance because it won't lose power (as long as you plug it into a power source). I would overly recommend this for any capable camera, it's a MUST-HAVE! I hope this review helps :)

This is a great budget friendly dead battery for anyone who needs to do long video recording or even streaming!

I use this plug-in every time I’m streaming live on twitch and the battery life never lets me down. It doesn’t interfere with image quality and has not over heated on me once! And I’ve used this battery for over 4 hours at one point.

When using the AC-PW20 you never have to worry about having to be arms length away from an outlet. It has plenty of slack to stretch over a few feet and that’s more than plenty for any casual setup!

This AC battery is best bang for buck on the market and I wouldn’t recommend any other brand if I didn’t believe in them myself. Definitely a 10/10 purchase/investment must have in my streaming setup!
