I just received this item and have not yet installed it, so this review is primarily to address some questions about what items are included with it. Also, a couple of comments addressing other remarks by a few reviewers.
WHAT"S IN THE BOX? My spider injector assembly came in a plain white box with AC Delco label affixed. Also included was a gasket set (in AC Delco sealed plastic packaging) with 3 gaskets; 1 large o-ring for upper injector body-to-plenum, 1 throttle body gasket, 1 intake plenum gasket. No o-rings for the 2 fuel lines. An upper body o-ring was also attached to the injector body, so there are actually 2 of these o-rings - can hold onto one for a spare. Also included was a new metal mounting bracket (for the injector body) along with a T30 Torx bolt for the bracket. Bracket & bolt were in a separate AC Delco box.. See attached picture.
WHY 2 LABELS? As mentioned, the plain white box had an AC Delco label. However, this label was affixed over an earlier label. I peeled the label off to show the covered one. The covered label was also an AC Delco label with some differences in numbering. Picture attached.
NO TUBE ON PRESSURE REGULATOR... Yes, mine did not have the small vent tube on the pressure regulator. But this doesn't really make any difference. That opening, with or without a tube, is merely an opening for the regulator to read the surrounding manifold vacuum which controls the regulator.
IS IT A KNOCKOFF? Who really knows. This may appear the same as a Standard Motor FJ503, and perhaps it is. With manufacturers outsourcing products, it's hard to tell. But this one does come with the gasket set and bracket, which the Standard does not. And this has a 12mo/12,000 mile warranty compared to the 90 day/3,000 mile warranty on the Standard.
WARRANTY? See above.
INSTRUCTION SHEET? Mine came with such a reduced size instruction sheet that it was impossible to read without a strong magnifying glass. A full size sheet was reduced to less than 4" x 5". Even under magnification, the print was so blurry much was impossible to read. I would suggest finding other sources for install instructions because the proper routing of the tubes is critical.
SPIDER TUBES FACING THE WRONG DIRECTION? Yes! At least on my application in a 4.3 L Vortec engine. And they are stiff. I can see that it will take some care to bend these tubes into proper position when installing.
So I'm knocking off 1 star for the grossly unreadable instructions, and another star because the tubes are not in proper orientation. Once I install the unit, I may have further comments to make. Keeping my fingers crossed......
