Even if you didn't need new ones like I did I would recommend the upgrade anyways. It helped all the sag out of the rear of my truck from the weight applied. Did not mess with the way it drove and gave it almost 2" of lift. I have a small truck and don't haul alot of items but when I do these have worked like a dream. Very easy to swap out and the red springs add a nice accent color you can see.

So this is my second set, the other pair lasted about 4 years and that's without carry an extra load all the time; my road time mostly was driving around from place to place. They do help in stiffening up the rear end of my 2001 Blazer and help control ride height when going around sharp curves and sudden braking times. No more "float" effect from the rear!

Nice improvement to the back end of my '97 S10

Nice improvement to the back end of my '97 S10. It took me 90min. to install myself, an hour on the muffler side due to tight area around top bolts and 30min on the drivers side. It was easier using my 3/8 drive on the upper bolts. They only tighten to 22bls. Used 1/2 air wrench for lower bolt which tightens to 64bls on my truck. I don't have a spring compressor so I used my floor jack to raise the bottom of the shock into place on the bottom bolt and a hammer to drive it home. It raised the truck a little and keeps the tires on the ground over pot holes. We have plenty of those.

These shocks have improved my ride TREMENDOUSLY. I used about 20 zip ties on each one to precompress them. Then, jacked up the truck on the frame and they went right on. If you dont jack up the truck frame you are in for a lot of extra work. These are extremely stiff and should give me some good peace of mind when hauling stuff around.

Put them on my 2004 Blazer. Great improvement.
That coil is a pain though during installation. Buy some sturdy zip ties to hold it compressed while you put them in. I had to use a bottle jack to get them in. One side was easy, the other side, not so much.

Would buy them again. :)
